Voter Registration Day

We seem to be very effective at getting things done if we concentrate on a given task in a day.

We should have a voter registration day (some time soon) where we all send emails to are friends and family, post on other formus, and use any other creative ideas other people can come up with to make sure people register Republican before the deadline.

I have a way that this can become viral and competitive if someone with php/mySQL can help install some open-source software. The software already exists but it will need some tweaks - and we will need some design work. I have the database capacity on my site.

Basically people could send emails to their friends saying why they have changed party registration. With links to the places where those recipients can see other people's reasons too (just in case the sender's reasons aren't appealing). and the software has the ability for people to track friends of friends of friends on personalized page -- which can be hotlinked on their own facebook/myspace/etc sites.

That is precisely why having this sort of sftware is actually more important than having a single "day". Like it or not, only 40,000 people responded to November 5. We will need well over a million for voter registrations.

But that is also where emails can really ramp this up.

Fantabulous idea! I have a six inch high stack of voter registration forms to distribute with out ballot petitions.
