I almost want these OWS to come to a Paul event and have Paul sit down with them and address their complaints/issues while the other candidates run away from them. Would be a great contrast.

He doesn't deserve to have his events disrupted, but he kind of brought this on himself by making those insulting statements against the OWS. Unfortunately, this will probably get lots of coverage on Fox and talk radio, and give him another boost.

This is EXACTLY why we don't want to associate this with Ron Paul.

Side note: The next or first time you are in Des Moines, eat at the Iowa Machine Shed. Pretty good grub served family style.

It wasn't the Occupy groups, it was apparently Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement Action Fund.

Ron Paul shouldnt support the Occupy protesters then if this how they behave.

His HQ was stormed? Thank god no one works there.
“When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out, and by the Eternal, I will rout you out!”

I don't care who the candidate is. We support Ron Paul because he is a lover of liberty, these occupiers are anything but pro-liberty. Cain is a moron, but he still has a right to speak. This is unfair.....

This is what you call BLOWBACK. He insulted the OWS movement and they'll dog him and drag him down.

Why are you following the MSM trick of believing they are all socialists etc? There are quite a few Ron Paul supporters who are part of the OWS movement too. I think insulting them and trying to distance ourselves from them is a really bad move. If/When Ron Paul wins the nomination, having the OWS movement in our corner could be vital, especially if the economy gets worse and the protests take off.

I've been following the OWS movement pretty closely for nothing more than the entertainment factor and I don't think there are more of them that support Paul than there are Republican primary voters willing to vote for Jon Huntsman.. From what I've gathered there is a small (but courageous) group of Paul people at some of the camps and they are despised by most of the protesters.

Did anyone read the article about the camp in Philly? Where the Ron Paul tent was robbed and then someone actually took a $#@! inside of it.. If the majority of them are socialists and lean socialist then it is safe to just call them socialists.

check out the videos on www.adamvstheman.com ..Not the only independent news source of the protesters but its a good place to start.

He brings it on himself. Cain attacked the OWS first with personal attacks on their character. Cain has attacked Ron paul supporters. He loves to alienate, but there is always a price to pay. If he can't stand the heat, he needs to get out of the kitchen.

I wanted to think the same thing. My local Occupy General Assembly is full of 2008 Ron Paul voters, but if they'll be voting for him again I don't know. They held a big protest against the privitization of my university and my disgraceful Econ professor, who worked for the Fed, just did an entire lecture on their movement, including an $18 minimum wage and a $90 an hour cap on salaries. Some of these people are insane. problem identification and problem solving are to very different things.

That being said, our Young Americans for Liberty and our newly forming Youth for Ron Paul group have been in contact with Occupy officers and will be tabling at their next event and possibly giving a short 2 min. speech. Yes they may be bat crap crazy, but it's election season and we need votes, so hi-lite the similarities rather than our differences, and get people to re-register and go to the polls.

There's nothing wrong with the way Ron Paul supporters are handling the OWS movement. They throw feces on us, we turn the other cheek and (after cleaning it up ourselves) offer them shelter from the cold. We're being strategic, we're being inclusive, we're being Christian. And I salute our troops for it.
