Merck's Dangerous Gardasil Vaccine recommended for boys by CDC Advisory Panel. The head of Merck's vaccine division is former Director of the CDC.

Vaccines are a multi-billion dollar business. Merck just had their very controversial Gardasil HPV vaccine recommended for boys by a CDC advisory panel. This means it probably will end up on the vaccination schedule of pediatricians around the country. This is a windfall for Merck as the three shot vaccine nets $400 per child.

Julie Gerberding was the former head head of the CDC. She left to take a job as head of the vaccine division at Merck. The revolving door between big government and connected corporate executives is alive and well.

The following quote is from the CDC's own website:" As of September 15, 2011, there have been a total 71 VAERS reports of death among those who have received Gardasil"

Those are just the deaths. Here is just one of the thousands of victims who live with serious life altering consequences of the Gardasil shots. In here own words "It's pretty much taken two years of my life away. I'm going to be 23 next week, and I feel like all my hopes and dreams have been ripped from me."

In a free market, vaccine manufacturers would be held accountable for injuries caused by their product. The vaccine industry is not a free market. In 1988, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services set up the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP) in 1988 to compensate individuals and families of individuals injured by covered childhood vaccines. All adverse reactions have to be pursued by this program. The maximum payout is capped at $250,000.

This is very similar to what happened with the derivative mess in the banking industry. They get to keep all the profits but they get bailed out of their losses.


When the government removes the liability in safety concerns, you can be assured safety will not be a very large part of the decision to pursue a product. Of a more pressing nature is how to get it approved by the government agency and into the bodies of millions of potential customers. This recommendation by the CDC for more Gardasil vaccinations is just one more example of big government forcing itself into the lives of all of us with its cozy relationships among executives and high level government officials.
