New financial show on Russia Today is very libertarian friendly

The show Capital Account started airing last week and pretty much every episode they give the libertarian view on a certain topic.
Very first guest was Michael Pento saying end the Fed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrtyvYNx8Pw
Had Lew Rockwell (who doesn't appear on TV a lot) talking about inflation & MIC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szfQlyWa1vM
and today Jim Grant was exposing the Fed and the host had the good sense to ask about how interest rates were set before the Fed, and the host played a quick clip of Ron Paul, and copied one of Ron Paul's talking points that money is one half of every transaction. Check it out - here's today's full show w/ Jim Grant:

This is a very, very strong start for the show. I'm not sure the host herself is libertarian but she gives us major respect

RT's American tv channel has always been quite libertarian, at th very least very anti-Fed. They used to interview Ron Paul all the time and they've always had very fair coverage on the issues that are important to us.

English RT is shown on America depending on your cable or satellite provider. I don't get the 24 hour RT with my ghetto cable subscription, but they do rebroadcast some RT shows on public broadcast channels (and also big time US outlets such as CBS sometimes use RT footage).

It's true that RT is open to libertarian views, but this show in particular seemed to me very libertarian on a daily basis instead of just occasional coverage, so that's why I'm bringing it up here (host is cute too!)

I don't remember who said it, maybe it was somebody on this forum, but someone described the anchors of RTAmerica this way:
They're all Democratic Socialists, but they're extremley tolerant of other viewpoints.
Look at the way they've covered OWS, and you'll see this is true. That's not to say RT isn't good, they're terrific, but at the end of the day, they still have an agenda.

And they cancelled Adam vs The Man

Jim Grant is fun to watch.

Yes but they are also huge hypocrites. The Kremlin would never allow anything like what the English-version Russia Today puts out to air inside their own country.

After watching today's interview with an ex-Fed vice chair, I decided to have a look at the producer's (who is filling in for the hot girl host while she's in Davos) twitter:
Ron Paul is the only person on the ballot, left or right, that makes any sense and has any level of sincerity. That's why ppl like him.
Anyway, give the interview a watch - the ex Fed vice chair admits interest rates were too low for too long, and he gets asked questions that ONLY a Ron Paul supporter would think to ask. The Fed portion begins at 8:40 and last for the rest of the show

Russia Today is of course a Russian propoganda channel- like the US Voice of America or Radio Free Europe (Russia is obvously not at all libertarian in their own country) and promoting just about anything opposed to the US government. Not to say they don' have some good things to say- just to be aware of the perpective they have.

They like the independent journalist who are highly critical of what happens in US. The more they can bash US status quo, the better.

Of course, they allow the hosts freedom to act as they want but they do pick them based on some agenda. Bright side is agenda aligns with ours at this point.

In this video Hillary mentions RT. Quite interesting piece:

This being said, I do watch Capital Account pretty often. It`s one of the best financial shows.
Let`s get Ron Paul into top 10 to generate headlines. We need more people.

Yep. Some of their money comes from the Russian regime. It's rather like American MSM (the reps of major outlets typically donate to political parties and causes to benefit themselves).

it's basically anti-American mainstream, and reflects the internet interest of Americans. They probably avoid liberal slant because Democracy Now and KPFK has that covered. Or, they saw Air America fail.

RT is a propaganda network financed by Russian state. Has a clear agenda behind it just like CNN.

Their journalists, however, are given free hand from what I`ve seen. They do cherry pick their TV shows and talk show hosts to suit their agenda.

They have both Libertarians and Liberals who are anti-war. Having both pro-peace Denis Kucinich type liberals and Ron Paul libertarians would advance their cause on the world chessboard. Aylona and that Thom Hartmann guy are progressive liberals. Adam`s show was clearly libertarian and Capital Account is some weird mix of both, with the Kofinas dude pulling more to the left, while Lyster being more libertarian minded.

Russian state is anything but libertarian but politics makes for some strange bedfellows. They`re not our friends though. It`s just a marriage of convenience basically.

RT in america is hosted by american citizens and produced by american citizens.most of the guests are american too.
why is that sinister? you trust american govt owned channels more? how about fox? owned by murdoch and saudi princes.you think the saudi prince and australian murdoch has your best interests at heart?
OP was talking about the RT shows in america and not commenting on RT worldwide.
you explain why foxnews is more trust worthy than RT.you should only care about the truth .and not if the truth speaker is playing for Team USA Govt or Team saudi prince govt or Team Kremlin

The only time I tried to watch it, I saw two segments. The first segment was about global warming, and the reporter said the scientists were literally scared of what was going to happen if we didn't' stop it. The second segment was making a case for creating social safety nets for people who tried to create small businesses. In other words, socializing losses while privatizing profits.

I gave up on that PDQ.

Dude - it's owned by Pravda. That's all that really should be need to be said.

RT is just like the American equivalent in Europe "Voice of America" just a lot better.

My ranking for propaganda news is :

    1.RT

    2.Deutsche Welle

    3.Voice of America

I don't know if the UK and France have some kind of network like this.

I don't care what agenda they have. I've seen more truth reported on RT than any MSM (or otherwise) channel ever does.
