Iran no longer a factor...how convenient

In the 2008 Republican primary the whole narrative was about war and Iraq and how we needed to stay there forever and stop a civil war, etc.

Then once John McCain won the primary the wars were of no significance anymore, just a side note that was not relevant to anyone's day to day life in the US. The economy became the forefront issue and McCain (who knows nothing about the econmy) got stomped.

4 years later, the same thing happens in the Republican primary. Iran becomes the new boogy man and Republicans beat up Ron Paul about how he would not go in and nuke the hell out of Iran at his first opportunity.

The media now feels that Romney is the de facto candidate so now all of the sudden, Iran is not a factor anymore.

They literally said this morning that oil prices are going down because the Iran situation has stabilized and things are better in the Middle East. What Iran situation and what has changed?

The only change is the Ron Paul factor. If they feel that Ron Paul has any chance at the convention they will be rolling out boogy men around the world that need to be nuked just so that they can get Ron Paul on the news saying that there is no reason to nuke them. While Romney can stand bodly saying "nuke away" like such the manly man that he is.

    Pathetic.
Definition of political insanity: Voting for the same people expecting different results.

so, what they're really admitting is that Ron was right, all along.

No. You can be damn sure that if he wins, all of a sudden Iran will be the biggest threat to Republicans since slipping and falling in the bathtub. They just have to hide their warmongering ways long enough to convince independants to vote for Das Mitt.

But you see, Obama showed Iran how tough we are by flying a stealth drone over their territory....

Really all this says is that Romney's and Obama's policies when it comes to Iran are so similar that it doesn't merit news coverage. When the two parties agree on an issue, the media stops covering it.
