My name is Gregor, I'm 28 and live in Indianapolis, IN. I work for a marketing company here doing web programming.

I'm a lowercase L libertarian, no longer interested in all the strife associated with bitter partisan politics, though generally supportive of the Libertarian Party. Really I don't care the letter next to your name as long as your record is congruent with liberty.

I haven't done a lot of activism for the campaign really, other than some blog posts here and there (I have one upcoming) and keeping my friends informed about what I think is important RP news. Most of my friends aren't interested enough in politics, at the primary level at least, but I'm doing what I can. I post interesting links on my twitter now and then, too.

I'm a member of the Indianapolis Ron Paul Meetup, which I keep an eye on, but have yet to go to any events. I have gone to the Indianapolis Libertarian Party Meetup for a couple years now, and many of them are on board or quite supportive of Ron Paul. It will be interesting to see what happens come May with the Libertarian Party's nomination (presuming Ron Paul gets the Republican nomination).

I, along with my colleagues are going to spread the word about Dr. Paul.
So far we are very impressed with his stance on virtually all issues.

It's time for a change, and we believe that Dr. Paul represents this change in a strong manner.

God bless you! Wake-up your brothers & sisters in arms...WELCOME!
"Masterful and arrogant wealth, created largely by Government protection of its profits, not content with its domination and influence within a single party, had sought to corrupt them both, and to that end had insinuated itself into the primaries, in order that no candidates might be nominated whose views were not in accord with theirs." Hello all --

I'm a 33 year old small businesswoman from Colorado, and have been a registered Republican since '92. I was about to give up on this party out of sheer frustration -- until I learned of Ron Paul.

He has singlehandedly given me and my Independent-voting husband the courage to get more involved with local politics.

I am optimistic that Dr. Paul will win the nomination, but even if he doesn't, we plan to stay involved to further his ideas, and never become complacent about our role as "We the People" ever again.

Hi, I'm a 35 year old newly registered Republican (it still hurts to say that). I've always been registered as an Independent, that is, until I heard Ron Paul speak. I live in Tampa, FL, which is a closed primary state, hence, the switch to Republican.

I've always been interested in politics, and within the last seven or eight years I've grown very cynical with the repetitive status quo "candidates" we've had the honor of voting for. The way I saw it, we, the people, have long lost this country. America was bought and sold 40 years ago. I still believe that, and see it every day in regards to the suspicious lack of Ron Paul coverage in the major media, but since hearing Dr Paul speak, I've come to the conclusion that we still have a chance to take it back.

I first saw Dr Paul on the first GOP Debate, and he drew my attention right away with his stances on the war, and the reason we were attacked. I've argued that same stance since 9/11, only to be labeled as an "appeaser" or a "passive liberal". But it always made sense to me. I mean, I would think that one would want to understand his or her enemy in order to come to a conclusion on how the enemy could be defeated. So Dr Paul started speaking about this, and his stance in regards to it, and the hair on my arms stood up immediately. Since then, I've read thoroughly about the good Doctor, and have a few minor issues that I disagree with him on, but, overall, he has rekindled my spirit to the extent of no other politician has ever done.

I don't know what will happen with this campaign, but win or lose, we, along with Dr Paul are raising awareness for the future.

    Long Live Ron Paul....

    Hello!

I'm so happy to be here!!!

  14. #372
My name is Kelly and I've been a member of this forum for about 2 weeks. I'm 42, a single empty nester and teach high school social studies in SW Idaho. I've always voted independently and favored Libertarian and Green party candidates.

I'm about 95% in agreement with where Ron Paul stands on the issues. I especially want to support him because I feel the #1 priority of this country is to get our military out of the Middle East. Where I'm having trouble supporting him is his stand on women's reproductive freedom. Until religious fanatics are willing to stop murdering doctors because they're "pro life" and making personal freedom a political issue Roe v Wade needs to remain as the law of the land.

My name is Charles and I'm a 28 year-old U.S. Navy Veteran. I found out about Dr. Paul from a friend who is a big fan of Ron's Immigration policy. Upon researching I discovered that Ron Paul is the Candiddate I've been waiting to give my support to for a long time. I was always registered as a Independant but switched for Dr. Paul. I beleive that the Mainstream Media iis sleeping on Ron Paul and are going to get a big surprise after the votes are counted in the early primaries. Ron Paul is the only chance the Republican Party has in this election and I hope they figure that before it's too late for all of us. They have strayed far from what the party was intended to be and Ron Paul is the only candidate who can bring this country back to what it was intended to be.

My name is Lisa, and I'm a 31 yr. old single mother from Ohio. I work as an assistant at a sleep lab. I was a neo-con (have voted a straight Republican ticket since '94) until I started hearing about Ron Paul back in February from a couple friends. Through him I've learned a great deal about history that was never taught in school growing up. We never made it past WWII, so it was until I had a class about the Vietnam War last year that I really knew anything about it. The Shah of Iran and the Arab-Israeli wars? I had never heard of them until this year. I discovered how I've been blinded and lied to by those I voted in to power, but I'm proud to say I'm a neocon no longer.
On a side note, I qualify for food stamps and financial assistance, but I refuse them. I'm responsible for putting food on my table... not hard-working tax-payers. I do accept the medical card for my son and me, but I don't abuse it. We rarely go to the doctor. It is mainly used for the dentist. Hopefully someone, preferably Ron Paul, will figure out this healthcare mess and make it more affordable.

    Hey guys and girls,

I'm a 23 year old who ex-student () who just finished computer engineering. I went to University in Canada, staying with my Mom during my studies. I expect to be back to the U.S. in time for the elections and give my support for Dr. Paul. I hope to learn a lot from this forum, especially about how I can be more involved in the primaries (I am not clear on what I need to do to have a vote).

I found out about him just recently from my carpool friend. I practically agree with all the Doctor's issues. The only one that I have disagree with would be his stance on abortion, but I have never been a single-issue voter, and I clearly understand what causes Dr. Paul have a stance like that. In fact, him being able to take a position and stand by it without wavering even in the face of many (false) accusations is what makes me more confident in voting for him.

    Hi everyone,

My name is Mike, and I'm an American living in Sweden. I don't want to see America continue down the fast track to socialism, and I believe Ron Paul is the only candidate that can put America back on course.

Hi Everyone! My name is Sharon and I live in San Diego, Ca. I voted for Bush twice and have not been able to get over what has happened to our country under his watch. Most of my family is crippled by loyalty to the Republican party and a belief that Fox News Channel political opinion is all they need to know about politics. They know nothing about Ron Paul, but think he is somewhat of a crackpot from the coverage they have seen of him. I have also heard the opinion that Ron Paul is a spoiler for the Democrats and that he will split the Republican vote assuring the election of Hillary Clinton.

As of yet, I am have not decided who I will vote for in 2008. I like Ron Paul and wish with all my heart that he can be elected. He represents all I hope for for this country.

Nice to be here; I hope to learn as much as I can about Ron Paul. And, I will donate on November 11th!

  25. #382
Evening all. My name is Tom Adams from Hauppauge, New York. Registered as an Independent in 1998 when i became of the age to vote. Last month before my states deadline i changed my party affiliation to Republican to vote in the primary. I struggled for about two months on whether to change parties.

Before the end of the third quarter i donated one hundred dollars towards his campaign. Another hundred in the middle of October and two hundred yesterday. I plan on (at minimum) doubling my last donation next month on the 16th.

Currently have a homemade Ron Paul sign on my Dodge Dakota. Even my families co-workers are involved with his meetup groups. So it has sparked political discussions into this wood structure.

Next its getting lawn signs. Really want a Ron Paul Flag to fly on a makeshift flagstaff off my trucks hitch.

From Vancouver Island, I'm a strong proponent of less power in Ottawa and more power to the people, particularly at the local or community level - most Canadian provinces are large enough to contain several small countries, so our provincial governments tend also to wield too much pwoer.

Been watching the RP grassroots phenomenon for a couple of months and been heartened by it. Some of the videos, such as A New Hope, have brought tears to my eyes.

Can't do much at this end to help the cause, but did forward info and a link to A New Hope to a friend who in turn forwarded it to her American friends living in Canada.

    Hello everyone,

I'm Jena from the sunny state of Florida! 45 Year old mother of three teenage sons, married, Account Manager for large corporate travel company. I will admit to voting for Bush in 2004 but have since grown to hate the man and all that he stands for. I was lured in by the "it's for our own safety" rhetoric - but no more.

I desperately want Ron Paul to win the republican nomination and then win the white house!

Not a bad name....Keith. But I had it first!

Howdy! My name is Keith. 57 years old married to my first wife of 38 years. Two kids, 10 foster kids, 9.5 grandkids.

Live in Polson, Montana amongst as small pile of guns and knives....

Am the organizer for our local Meetup. We're having fun!

We're passing around petitions to put Ron Paul on the ballot. We need 500 by January 22nd, and so far we only have about 2,000. (We're trying to make a statement). We're also trying to get appointed as precinct persons before the Super Tuesday Caucus in Feb. '08. Oh yeah. I'm one of the plaintiffs on the suit to hand count paper ballots and throw out Diebold machines. I guess my state's Governor isn't too happy with me about now he's a Democrat.

My name is Tim and I live North of Kansas City, MO. I have long been a believer in voting for a good candidate, rather than voting for the one who could win OR for the lesser of evils. For this reason, this will be the first time I will ever vote. I am 34 years old, married, and have 4 kids. I am a real Republican, unlike all the people in politics using that title today. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have to tell you, it is WONDERFUL to have a candidate who I can hold up to the ideals of our church, as far as government goes, and say way to go. Ron Paul is preaching the very definition of what Government should be, based on former Secretary of Agriculture and later church President Ezra Taft Benson taught in his 'Proper Role of Government' paper.

I will admit to being somewhat excited initially to see Mitt Romney running. However, I find I can not support him. So, I was initially looking at not voting again. Well, wonder of wonders, here is a candidate who believes in this nation and the Liberty our Founding Fathers wrote and demanded. So, I now spend my time trying to talk to my family and friends about this, without putting them down. I try to challenge them, without kicking them. And, I try to remember in all my dealings that we are to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. NOT do unto others as they have done unto us.

I am hoping to be able to pull some funds together and add to the fun in December. Now, if I can just convince my wife on Ron Paul.
