Hello to all, please call me Gazoo, and thank you for allowing me to participate. I will be born in 2556 in the state of Jefferson, USA, I am able to communicate with your time shell via the Third Internet Vortex. This vortex is a recent innovation, so you may start to see more posts from well beyond your future. Further, this post must be done quickly, my parents are concerned about accumulated minute deficiencies. If you have read this far, please accept the heartfelt gratitude of me, my family, my state, my country and my world for lighting the fire of the Freedom Revolution of the 21st century. You can't know the everlasting impact of Dr. Paul's revolution. It would be a violation of the Prime Directive to reveal a glimpse of information even a second in to your future, but you need to know the importance of the mission you have accepted. I cannot fathom what would have become of America without your tireless and brave efforts at such a critical juncture. Without details, there will be tremendous setbacks ahead for Dr. Paul supporters, but yours is a campaign of ideas that will change the world. Take heart, stand tall and please accept the gratitude of your future.

Hello to everyone. My name is Elvis and I'm from Long Beach, California. I found out about Ron Paul about a year ago and found out he is the only sane candidate out there. Unlike many other people like Romney only spit out rhetoric in debates, Ron Paul has a record to back up what he says. He also knows that our massive military spending is going to bankrupt us. When I was still 17 I was reading these forums to find out what is needed to be able to vote for Ron Paul in California's primary this June. For some stupid reason I don't know why I lagged it in registering to vote. I turned 18 last December. But yesterday I sent in my voter registration form with the Republican Party box checked. I'm pretty sure that's all I have to do. Good luck to Dr. Paul and LET'S WIN MAINE!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello, I'm Linda

I've lived in Maine my entire life. I've lived in the south of Maine, central and further north. I've worked a number of years in the Social Services Field that helped disadvantaged populations to obtain and maintain employment. I've assisted people with vocational choices and steered them in the direction to get the education and training to achieve their vocational goal. It was rewarding but yet frustrating. I saw a lot of wasted tax payer dollars go into programs that made no sense. I didn't like knowing that certain programs were funded based on the number of clientele rather than on the success of the program. I stopped being Democrat and affiliated myself as Independent for some years after that. Now of course, I've registered Republican to get Ron Paul on the ballot 2012 and vote him in as our President. I am also now a Delegate that was voted in at our town caucus. I'm preparing to go onto the State Convention. I've become more involved with our grassroots group in the town in which I reside and am prepping for our next town meeting and county meeting to nominate from among us to be the next line of Committee Chair, Vice Chair, Sec/Treas, and I am looking forward to being nominated and voted in to be on Committees. I'm definitely more involved as a result of Ron Paul's education that he provided for us citizens. He has helped us to see what it takes! There is one thing that Ron Paul and I disagree on and that is The Right to Work bill that was held over from our last house session in Maine. I presently work in a job where I am a dues paying union member. Having a union has helped me to rise above the near poverty level that I was once at with raising 3 children single handedly. I could not afford to work in the Social Services Field. I had to work two jobs per day here in Maine because there simply is not any gainful employment in this state. My job is one of the last rank and file jobs that did not take a special certificate or degree to qualify to work. With the Right to Work, I am concerned that then my employer will take advantage because they are already corrupt and will use their power to corrupt further. Also,I realize that unions are not what they used to be. I realize that unions have helped other people enjoy the fruits of their labor laws enacted as a result of advocacy on the workers behalf. But, I also know that my particular union isn't doing much in the way of assisting an entire department that is slated to be phased out. That will mean almost 200 people over the age of 50 who do not qualify for retirement and will most likely lose their homes and be on the welfare lines. Our employer is trying to terminate us before we could qualify for unemployment benefits. They do this by imposing a different standard that in time will affect us all because we cannot achieve the standard. This is being imposed by white collar criminals who are being led by a sponsor of Olympia Snow for Senate.

I have taken the bull by the horns after seeing the writing on the wall as a union steward for three years. I stood for helping the employee keep their job. I didn't jump into bed with management and I was disliked for not playing ball. Presently I'm attending college full time to complete a B.A. and then my plans are law school. I want control of what happens to me in my life as much as possible and if I can help others along the way, that is who, what, where and why I am! Ron Paul will make it happen the way that it should be happening according to our U.S. Constitution that was based on the laws of that day which those laws initially came from God. God is perfect. Ron Paul is an ambassador that leads us to the way we should be living while on this earth and while we live in our imperfect state.

Hello, My name is Bill. I'm here for probably the same reasons as many of you. My main concern is the DEBT, I feel Ron Paul is the only candidate that is willing to do what is necessary to help our economy and save this country!

Hello my name is Barbara, I live in Philadelphia , Pa.. this is my first time being involved in any type of political campaign. I haven't been a Paul supporter very long, but I'm devoted.
I canvased for the delegate signatures, and now I am on a mission to get the names of the delegates in my precinct known.. people vote for familiar..

Hi, I'm new and seriously just started looking deeper into Paul's record/position on what the hell's going on and how to fix it. I'm a midwestern 30 something woman who's left of the natives by a wide margin in alot of areas yet sick of being a dem by default between 2 canned parties. The world just kind of sucks and has been either stale or on the decline for awhile. I have a feeling that even if I disagree, I still completely feel like more of people like him are still exactly what we need.

My name is Nicholas. I'm 20 years old and have been interested in politics for 4 years now. I am a former social conservative (in the sense of having the government impose religious principles onto people), but after doing some theological research, my views have changed to Christianity being something that shouldn't be forced upon people and is rather something people should ultimately come to discover themselves, which has come to persuade me to lean libertarian when it comes to the government. I am currently in the process of becoming a member of the Eastern Orthodox Church. I'm currently majoring in Clinical Psychology and also plan on studying Theology.

I currently live in the Tri-State area of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, going all over the place from those three states almost every other day.

I simply want the American government to be geared towards freedom because, due to my faith, I have a high regard for free will and how much of a role it has in our lives and I have respect for each person to ultimately make the decision in their lives of whether they will submit their will to God's or to live according to the desires of the world. Due to this, I believe Ron Paul is the candidate for me. Ron Paul stands by his faith, though he also believes that his faith is about a persuasion through love not by coercion.

I've mostly be getting Ron Paul's message out to my friends and family and through my facebook account to educate them on how his positions. I'm happy to be part of this community, may I not be a thorn in this community's side.

    In Christ,
    Nicholas

    Good evening,

I'm 20 years old and a recent transplant to Northwest Montana from Northern Virginia. I'm personally unaffiliated with any party but I have volunteered with the GOP in the past. I came here to share in opposition to war in the Middle East, our bloated kleptocracy, and globalism. It's good to see a group of people I agree with all in one place.

Farrier, web designer and open source computer builder. I support Dr. Paul all day long. I listen to people and try to talk to them about the cause of liberty and media bias. I hope to be an asset in any small way.

Hey everyone. I had been lurking on these forums since August but I decided to sign up today. I heard about Ron Paul in 2008 but I wasn't paying attention to the election at that time.

I first looked into Ron Paul last May when I heard he announced his candidacy. I looked up his positions on Wikipedia and I agreed with them.

Even though I am not old enough to vote, I will still support him.

My name is Dan and I'm from the state of Tennessee. I'm here in support of Liberty and our Constitution for my little girl. I'm a lover of history and was overwhelmed after reading Dr. Paul's books along with Judge Napolitano's books over the past year. I thought our country was done for a long time ago. Thanks to some Dr. Paul supporters in my town I was led to purchase The Revolution followed by Liberty Defined. What I read in those pages made me realize that a true statesman was alive and well in America...and gave me hope. Hope that my daughter won't live under either Socialism or Totalitarian rule. So I dropped my cynicism out the window and joined the good doctor's Army. I don't view him as "the crazy old man" that both parties paint him as.

I came to the realization that if the Republicans don't like him, and the Democrats don't like him, and CNN doesn't like him, and Fox News doesn't like him....well he is probably worth looking at...and damn if I wasn't right.

    In Liberty...

Hi I'm Jebby, I registered for this forum a long time ago actually and only just rediscovered it. I tried registering again and that's how I found out I already have this account lol

Anyway, I'm a long time Ron Paul supported (since '08) and I've been active this time around in my home state (Washington). I hope I'll get to meet a lot of new and interesting people on this site and continue to spread the message of liberty.

    Welcome to the forums (again)!

Are you planning to run for the Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) position in Washington? PCOs make up the voting members of each County GOP organization and are also automatic delegates to the County Conventions.

If you have any questions about it, you can send me a private message and I'll get you all the info.

Thanks for the welcome. I usually catch up on my Ron Paul news over at the daily Paul, but I got sick of that website. I got really annoyed at their non-stop promotion of the "super brochures" and the site just generally sucks for discussion so I remembered about this place and gave it another shot

Hi all I have quietly been watching Ron Paul on and off for about 4-5 years now. A republican in California quietly watching the destruction of not only my State but the country at the hands of cookie cutter politicians. First went vocal a few years back when obamacare became the straw that broke the camel's back. While i may not agree with all of Ron Paul's ideas purely from a pragmatic point of view, I do strongly feel his message needs to be heard. More to the point I feel Ron Paul does need to take this nomination away from Romney.

I do get a little verbose at times, and will throw suggestions out just to see if they stick. I like to brainstorm and whatever I write, or suggest, is up for grabs to be used and modified as any of you may see fit. With this out of the way I will now proceed to write up my first suggestion, having to do with and organized media campaign.

If anyone wants to guide me to the correct subsection to put this in it will be much appreciated.

Hi! First I'd love to say congrats to Ron Paul and his supporters...what an awsome bunch of peeps who's hard work is paying off big time!! Yay! And what about Louisiana! Great work people.

Ron Paul is winning...we are taking America back! I'm so proud of him and those doing all of the hard work in the trenches. Can't express in words how happy I am. Keep up the good work. This gal from Massachusetts is behind you!

I haven't read a single topic here, but I've joined in at the chat room a few times. I'm a left-leaning supporter of limited government. Specifically, I think that the federal government should only be involved in issues that are national or universal (e.g. pollution standards, civil rights, tariffs) and make policies based only on research, that state governments should mostly operate on the same principles (e.g. focus on state infrastructure), and that local (county and township) governments should have more wide-reaching powers (e.g. over education standards, health care). Based on research on political engagement, moral thinking, and decision-making, I think that we should do elections based on a fully open caucus system (no party registration, combined contests) that elects from township to county to state to national.

I also believe that we should be creating much less legislation, focusing more on letting jury trials decide matters of importance, and revisiting past legislation to bring our government up to date. Our Constitution is inadequate for a contemporary nation, and that fact has helped lead to a lot of extra-Constitutional legislation based on "interpretations" of Constitutional language that are not based at all on the intent of the document.

I've been on both sides on a lot of debates over the course of my life, so the issue of most importance to me is building carefulness into our legislative processes - setting out clear criteria for making decisions, making legislation easier to repeal than to create, and requiring that every action be linked to financial disclosure and open-access public explanations rather than merely a budget line and a vote.

To put it simply, I believe that the job of a politician is to explain in clear terms what the purpose of legislation is, to make decisions as transparent as possible, and to execute the will of the people who caucused as much as possible (which may mean doing nothing, or creating laws that allow neither group to get an advantage) - both those who elected the person and those who did not.

Hello from Seattle, Wa. My name is Mark, I'm 51 yrs old and post-Vietnam Marine Corps Vet. I have never been very involved in politics before because I knew how corrupt it was. Because of RP's media blackout I missed his message in 2008. I voted for McCain and was very sad that Obama was elected, a slogan-miester. I was lucky to see RP on debates early this season and was very interested in his position on issues. I conducted my own research via the internet. I was very pleased with his solid historical unwavering stand for the Constitution. That alone has been missing from the government for a very long time. The plan he has for other issues is a direction we need to go, and soon. But, I don't understand how he will free the States and still deal with the same issues concerning federal employees. For instance, say some states have legalized gay marriage and some have not (much like now). And RP says federal govt should not be involved. Ok, say a same sex couple are married in a state that is legal to do so and one of them is a federal employee. What about benefits for the significant other, healthcare and retirement and such? I'm not gay, I'm just saying 'what if.' The same argument could be made for a federal employee that wants an abortion, just sayin'. I'm sure RP has thought all the details all of the way through. It just seems hard to see two people working in the same office in Washington, DC that are from different states having very different rights, can open, worms everywhere.
I do have faith in Ron Paul and he has my complete support. The first campaign I have ever donated to.
    Thanks for reading this
