Led Zeppelin, often received negative, misinterpreted reviews by the press. After two years (and two albums) they gave up on the press. They never performed on TV, and rarely were interviewed on either TV or Radio. They were very choosy on who got them on print. Yet the band exploded, the legacy endures, and the song remained the same. They went bigger than the Beatles, and were, in terms of crowds and dollars, the largest grossing band of their time.
What if Ron Paul were to try this approach? Just a thought (almost a joking thought so don't be too rough ).There was no universal critical acclaim, no pronouncements that what they were creating was significant art. No instead, the touchstones for Led Zeppelin in the press were terms like 'hype', 'arrogance' and 'Neanderthals'. As a result the band shied away from interviews and television appearances and built a mystique that endures to this day but above it all they produced thrilling, risky music.
