Ron Paul's unvarnished rhetoric working, Perry stumbles on Illegals' education subsidies

Anybody else notice how Romney never looks at anything other than the current speaker on stage?

Yes, he always focuses on the current speaker, which I think is good stage presence. On the other hand, I've noticed how Bachmann never looks at the person speaking, even when attacking them. She always looks straight a head. It's especially weird when someone is attacking her and she is just looking straight a head.

And Ron never does. He already knows what they are going to say. He either looks at the audience or takes notes. Notice how the camera always cuts to him when he's looking down taking notes? They try anything to make him look bad.

Yes. This is the type of "Presidential" quality (politeness) that draws in the pathos driven (women) voters. He is very practiced at it, but it doesn't look natural to me. Plastic man is plastic. Wooden man invented the internets.

Is a great example of how Romney has had a great deal of of practice to perfect his image while Bachmann is still new on the stage.

Yes it's a technique to feign interest in the other speaker. Combined with body language intended to be dismissive of what the other speaker is saying it gives a powerful stage presence. A lot of time has been spent preparing Romney for these debates.

Some of us see right past it and know the message is more important than the messenger.

    Presence makes a difference.

I've said it before, and I've said it again... The "average" voter doesn't care about substance. They will vote like they voted for Prom King. The best looking most popular guy in school.

    It's sad, really.
