I like this design best. The star with the "A" is a quick attention grabber, and the different colors make the sign easier to "break up" and read in pieces. It also gives the sensation of "Red White and Blue" / Flag design / Constitutional Preamble as well as being fun and colorful. But this may be explained in part by the history of ADD/Asperger's that runs in my family... Oh well.
LOL I think I have a touch of Aspergers myself, so that may explain why I liked the 1st design so much myself. These are all roughs of course. still hoping for a vector graphic artist to step up and help, as i am unlikely to have the time this campaign like I did during the last campaign.

I'll go ahead and bump the other thread, but in the NC Flag one that everyone likes, I need someone to do the whole flag up in vectors. it's in vector right NOW, but it's just a sketch. The flag doesn't look "real" and the N * C is obviously on the plastic not the cloth.

I've definitely seen worse, and truthfully this isn't that bad. I would suggest that it looks a lot like a Google Word Cloud at best, and if I were a graphics guy I would hook it up for you. I'll see if I cant bug some people around here for you.

In fairness, designs that fall by the wayside can be used for stickers etc. If I had the time I could perfect it myself. The 2010 sign came out light years ahead of everyone else's signage campaign.

I'm pretty sure I need to swap the last 2 lines

the dates are too much, no one will ever see that.
Is that supposed to be a flag on top, or a mountain range ?

It's the NC State Flag. The dates will stay because they are on the real flag.

    too much wording...

over here in Northern Virginia you can't find a space without political signs..it's an all out war up here and the only thing you see are NAME and POSITION and maybe Repub or Dem. Anything else is too much for the average person to see it. A person on average looks at a billboard for 3 seconds. You can imagine that a much smaller sign would get much less time. I'd just put name and position, and then get rid of the we the people and website.

If you have a big sign then you could definitely put the website in. When I drive by a political sign I barely have enough time to read the name, let alone a website, position, and the added confusion of whatever else is there.
