While this is true, the information about counterfeiters creating the inflation tax was mostly hidden from us until the Internet gained its truth telling abilities circa 2000. Even today, "The Secrets of the Federal Reserve" by Eustace Mullins is not in the public libraries. "The Mystery of Banking" by Murray Rothbard is not generally available in public libraries yet either. A friend of mine researched industrial hemp at Berkley in the late 60s only to have his professor turn it down for publication. Ron Paul has been trying to get his message out for at least 30 years. The powers-that-be are powerful. Counterfeiting paid big bucks and bought everything they wanted. The inflation tax is nearly impossible to detect.

The Economic Consequences of the Peace
Keynes outlined the causes of high inflation and economic stagnation in post-WWI Europe in The Economic Consequences of the Peace.
"Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalist System was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily; and, while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some... Lenin was certainly right. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."
A bunch of us are working diligently to get it corrected. End the Fed - ASAP
"Everyone who believes in freedom must work diligently for sound money, fully redeemable. Nothing else is compatible with the humanitarian goals of peace and prosperity." -- Ron Paul

Each generation is brainwashed to prevent them from changing the status quo. It will continue. Who will we blame 40 years from now?

I was just thinking about how bad genXers have been shafted. I'd argue that genXers are the innovative and inventive generation. We've been stymied at almost every turn.

It's not so much old people not giving up their jobs. Its more like old people hanging around and not being willing to pass the torch. They can be there and do the work for all I care. Here is an idea though, give up control of the "culture", control, politics, decision making, and work flow process to the next level. Let us put technology to use, rather than sticking to doing things the old way.

I don't want them to quit so I will have a job, I just want them to allow their great ideas to fade into some new great ideas.

    Funny thread.

I suggest going easy on the judging others. The Boomers didn't create social security, medicare, the Federal Reserve, the world empire, public schools, the War on Poverty, or the war on drugs. The poison was in the system before we were born. True, we didn't save the country (although I started voting Libertarian when I was 18 and never looked back. I still have an Ed Clark poster). But I bet you won't either. And if you do, drinks are on me.
The proper concern of society is the preservation of individual freedom; the proper concern of the individual is the harmony of society.

Exactly. Like they're government handouts or something! This thread is very telling...

Every generation of Americans has done everything they could to destroy liberty for a long time. The baby boomers are no exception. I don't see how they are any worse than the "Great Generation", who got their name by being the most helplessly lost generation and failing at every turn. Or what ever the generation called before then, that gave up the Progressive Era. Or this generation, that has overwhelmingly supported Obama.

You can have my job, but you'll have to find me a wealthy woman first. Teeth optional.

It seems that, no matter what you say, that pic in your signature is appropriate.

    Nice work.

Oh yeah, quit being such a smut-burglar.

lolz...btw, I think you mean "smut-peddler", not "smut-burglar". The latter does strike me as amusing, though.

By ending minimum wage and every regulation that stands in the way of full employment. When you hire someone, unless an explicit contract is given, you should be no more obligated to continue hiring them than you are required to continue shopping at the same grocery store. Employers should not be on the hook for the employees unemployement.

Remember, to a progressive government, a job is not a prostitute, drug dealer, or a guy mowing lawns for cash. To them, a job is a conduit by which they will increase your salary and benefits and job security for the low, low, low price of taking half your money. Any job outside that paradigm, they will attempt to destroy.
