I suggest going easy on the judging others. The Boomers didn't create social security, medicare, the Federal Reserve, the world empire, public schools, the War on Poverty, or the war on drugs. The poison was in the system before we were born. True, we didn't save the country (although I started voting Libertarian when I was 18 and never looked back. I still have an Ed Clark poster). But I bet you won't either. And if you do, drinks are on me.
Baby boomers pushed several destructive things in society:
    -free love
-the expansion of drug use , then decided to perpetuate "war on drugs"
    -affirmative action
    -abortion
    -warfare state
-living beyond our means(the credit card generation)
-domestic policies of handing over liberty for security(PATRIOT ACT) and many others similar to it
-the longest wars in u.s. history Iraq and Afghanistan and expansion of war powers to the president

baby boomers in general say that their generation caused the counter culture revolution which did a lot of damage to society with drugs and sex but they now think they can fix it by perpetuating the "war on drugs" to keep their children "safe" from the bad guys. It is the way they raised families to love credit cards and spending beyond their means...college loans, college debt, spending beyond their means to own a house, to do this or that...all of it is NOW coming to an end and they don't know how to handle it and who to vote for.

Whatcha got against love and drugs?

Affirmative action was in place before the boomers were in control. As was Title 7of the Civil Rights act. The Bakke decision was a challenge of an AA policy from 1973. The peak of the Baby Boom was in 1957. Do the math. People born in 1957 couldn't even vote until 1975.

Yes, there was no abortion until the late 1970s. lol.

And no warfare until the late 1970s either. Right. Ever heard of Guns and Butter? (You might want to open a history book)

I'm guessing you are, what, about 20?

I WILL cop to credit card craziness on behalf of my generation. And allowing existing bad trends to continue.

I wholeheartedly hope you do better.
The proper concern of society is the preservation of individual freedom; the proper concern of the individual is the harmony of society.

You're kidding me right? the baby boomer generation was post ww2 and many of them like my parents were born in 1940s-50s. So yeah they did perpetuate the stuff I listed. You crack open a book.

Aaaah the intoxication and folly of youth!
Sweeping generalizations about one demographic cannot fail to indicate a warp in the psychic weave of the fellow who does the sweeping. Most likely the people who are 'ageist' are also 'racist'.... those who blame others usually fail to take responsibility for themselves. And I will rep+ Erowe for his comment.
