Default Towards a North American Union by Justin Raimondo

While the US military is being sent overseas in search of monsters to destroy, ignoring the good advice of the Founders, closer to home another war is brewing – right on the US-Mexican border. Border Patrol agent Brian A. Terry, killed on Dec. 21 near Rio Rico, Arizona, was murdered by drug cartel gunmen – using weapons smuggled across the US-Mexican border under the auspices of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF).

While the cartels shoot up half of Mexico, and terrorize the other half, it seems they've been getting a helping hand from those geniuses in Washington, whose "law enforcement" agencies knowingly allowed sophisticated firearms to be smuggled across the border, into Mexico. As BATF special agent John Dodson told the House Oversight Committee:

Everything walks back to Agenda 21 and that whole one world government thingy.

Four decades ago this agenda was begun.

"Mr. Chairman, we have in this Country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks, hereinafter called the Fed. The Fed has cheated the Government of these United States and the people of the United States out of enough money to pay the Nation's debt. The depredations and iniquities of the Fed has cost enough money to pay the National debt several times over. -Cong. Louis McFadden

why should anybody other than a nationalist, especially a libertarian, care if there's a merger of governments or integration of people, or dismantling of national artificial barriers of trade and travel?

Libertarians, of course, should be concerned about governments merging and consolidating their power. You know we're all about decentralization and the limitation of power, right?

Because your country is more fascist than mine and I therefore do not wish to merge with your fascist government. These artificial barriers of travel will not be eliminated. To the contrary, security is increasing, meaning those who choose to travel will face more privacy invasion, not less. Are your airports moving toward becoming bastions of freedom and liberty? Are TSA highway checkpoints disappearing within your own country? Hardly. Why would you think the borders would be any different? It's about more control, not less.

If the open-border wackjobs had it their way, we'd have a NAU within a decade tops.
