Much like the drug war, I get the impression these people need it to be illegal so as to keep them from falling for temptation.

Like that would work ....... dumbass .....

I always found it funny that people want to stop other people from having anal sex voluntarily, by threatening to send them someplace where they're going to be having anal sex involuntarily.
There are no crimes against people.
There are only crimes against the state.
And the state will never, ever choose to hold accountable its agents, because a thing can not commit a crime against itself.

Yeah. But thanks to the wording of Lawrence v. Texas it really doesn't matter if all 50 states criminalized sodomy. In OConnor's concurrence she said she would have voted differently if the Texas law had been evenly applied, but her concurrence doesn't control the opinion.

Anyhow, here's Ron Paul on the issue.

These are the kinds of people who make me ashamed to call myself a Christian. We've got a predatory state stealing half of our income and using it to tear asunder innocent life and limb abroad, not to mention caging non-violent drug users and stealing them from their families when some of them just need help or rehabilitation to get their lives back together, and the worst affront to decency these people can perceive is consensual gay sex?

I got a question, how would the state go about proving one had anal sex on someone?

Didn't you get the memo? - The work crew will be installing the camera in your bedroom tomorrow.

But hay, look at the bright side - the underground market for certain sex toys will be a huge boost to the economy!

What really bothers me about these so called religious do gooders who would like to use the government to pass laws on their so called morality issues is that they don't realize the fact that most not all of the priests have homosexual tendencies...

That's easily one of Ron's absolute worst writings. Harry Browne shreds that pathetic reasoning:

I, for one, am glad that Ron doesn't troll to socons or Santorum types anymore. If Ron actually believed that drivel - that rights don't exist unless expressed by the Constitution - I'd be out the door in a heartbeat, and wouldn't bother looking back.

American Family Association defends Rick Perry's porno past

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/0...rys-porno-past

You would think that the American Family Association—the Christian extremist hate group that is forever seeking to answer the question "Who would Jesus boycott?"—would have a problem with teabagger darling and Bible-thumper Rick Perry's past investment in porn distributor Movie Gallery, Inc. After all, AFA has been leading a boycott of the company for the past decade, for its "hard-core sex videos" that "poses a serious threat to our communities!”

But AFA was also a sponsor of Perry's prayer-a-thon earlier this month, which, to the untrained ear, sure sounds a little hypocritical.

Alas, and praise Jesus, the AFA has found a loophole and wants everyone to know there is absolutely no hypocrisy in supporting Perry while boycotting a company in which he'd invested thousands of dollars. Via Wonkette:

Mr. Perry had divested himself of Movie Galley stock long before its involvement in the sale of pornography was even on the AFA’s radar, and five years before AFA launched its public boycott.

Oh. Well, that explains everything, doesn't it?

    ...

Meh, I frequented many Hollywood Videos (same company), and they didn't have an adult section.

They are defunct now and operated under several names, but of the several Hollywood Videos stores I've been in - they all had adult sections.

Local laws regulating such things can have a lot to do with why one area does or doesn't have such a section.

They don't. Some Tea Party members are uptight Christians, some are people like us. Well, most of us. We seem to have our share of uptight Christians too.
