"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." Ron Paul’s libertarian ideology would lead to economic chaos and isolationism, neither of which this nation can afford,” the editorial board wrote.

Positively. How much, I don't know. His ground game is non-existent so it is important we keep up our enthusiasm.

Interesting, this flies in the face of what the churches are doing in Iowa, they are saying anybody BUT Romney, who will the people listen too?

It is going to be a very interesting caucus night.

Does a newspaper's endorsement really affect anyone's vote? If so, why would it?

Hell, if Fred Flintstone ran for potus he would probably get votes. And though it is physically impossible, still, he would get votes

I did notice Des Moines Register has articles and Scheduling on their main political page... guess who's missing Yup.

    http://caucuses.desmoinesregister.com/

The past 24+ hours in articles in the Des Moines Register's Caucus Insider:

    Mitt: 7
    Bach: 11
    Newt: 5
    Sant: 3
    Perry: 9
    Obama 3
    Ron Paul: 0 <===

Oh, I could probably give Ron 1/2, because the Register screwed up and mentioned in one of the Perry Ads of attacking Newt & Paul.

BTW, this is who endorsed Mitt Romney, Not the Des Moines Register: http://www.gannett.com/section/BRANDS&template=cover

The Des Moines Register's liberal ideology has led to economic chaos and perpetual war, both of which are destroying this country.

I do suppose they know well enough that there will never be a media bail-out if Paul becomes president. Thanks for the research. About 3 exits from Pauls National HQ

It's exactly what was expected. Who were they going to endorse, Perry? Bachmann? Gingrich? The Establishment has their guy, and he's named Mitt.

Yeah, balancing the budget would cause economic chaos, but adding another trillion to our debt every year is just fine.
Withdrawing our troops and trying more diplomacy would "isolate" us, but launching an all-out attack on Iran over paranoid delusions would be just fine.

I would say the opposite. Fund running more ads in their chief competitor paper in Iowa. Don't support the liberal rag that just spit in your face. It would be like buying that little dude Rachel Maddow a pint of beer.
