Yeah, this whole thing is ridiculous. I just hope no one else gets sick from it.
This is the other extreme. Depending on where you live, this might be pretty hazardous to your health as well. I think it's a great start, and I buy as much locally as possible... but from there, I do buy some dried/preserved foods from elsewhere, and imported fruit/veggies for use in true-to-culture dishes. There isn't a lot of locally-grown rice or coffee here.
The best thing about this story?
I've heard this twice - from two different people:
"What's a 'ground' turkey?"
"And now that the legislators and do-gooders have so futilely inflicted so many systems upon society, may they finally end where they should have begun: May they reject all systems, and try liberty; for liberty is an acknowledgment of faith in God and His works." - Bastiat
"It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere." - Voltaire
My mom called me and told me that the local grocery story said she had purchased some of this meat back in February and she gave it to me and my husband. lol. Now I was intrigued by this whole thing because this further proves that if you use one of those shopper cards, they DO track your purchases... Anyways we ate the meat back in February and I guess we were ok... haha Learn to cook your food the whole way through?
