the way I always heard, it was mostly pledges on that day. I guess people take it literally that he raised it, but looking at the numbers, he didn't come close to 10m raised.

LAS VEGAS — Mitt Romney, the all-but-declared Republican presidential contender, who has kept his head low for much of the year as he collected cash, raised $10.25 million Monday after bringing together his network of wealthy donors to dial for dollars.

Romney’s camp was much more guarded this time in Las Vegas. Aides refused to allow reporters into the phone bank room, and they wouldn’t say how much his second White House bid would cost.

We need to at least get one MSM source to dive into this, and then we drudge it to Mitt's demise.

Decided to put something together. Maybe someone can use the same concept in a video.

In my image I realized that it points out that Mitt Romney lied.... but it also points out that several major MSM sites reported it as fact with no checking. Hopefully the image draws up peoples skepticism about what they read, hear, or see, in media.

    Look at Ron Paul's... http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2011/Q...C00495820.html

His doesn't show the 1mil+ raised in both money bombs.

What were the dates? I can't recall them at the moment. I do know that they are probably much more close to what was reported. Mitt Romne'ys 10 Million was actually only reported as $2,402,686.00 for that day. Even if you give him an extra week to add in any mail in funds its still only $3,745,789 which comes in waaaayyyyy short.

GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul took in more than $1 million Sunday [june 5] using an online "money bomb" that hit at the Republican field's front-runner, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

As of 11:22 a.m. on Tuesday, donors contributed more than $1.1 million to Paul's presidential campaign, according to his website. The haul matches what Paul brought in early last month with a "money bomb" on the day of the first GOP presidential primary debate.
I count 521,000 according to this website http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2011/Q...C00495820.html

I remember back in 2007 when Ron had his first big moneybomb, one of the neocon sites I browsed used the excuse "Oh, it was just pledges. The Paulbots all used their parents phones to make fake donations LAWLS! Rudy 08!"

Oddly enough, I've seen no mention of Romney's big fundraiser being all pledges, even from anti Romney sources. Well, outside this forum. Really goes to show what narratives are being spun.

Yes, I know even in the CNN clips of the first moneybomb they were questioning if it was "just pledges" or not. They never used that type of spin with Romney's big day. My image is against the media just as much as Mitt's lies.

That page only lists itemized donations. Donations below a certain dollar amount are unitemized and aren't listed there. Makes sense for Ron Paul, half of his donations are unitemized. Romney only received $1,103,457.22 in unitemized donations, meaning the most he could have raised on his "$10 million day" is around $3.5mil. I'm guessing he raised under $3 million on that day.

The $2.4 million on May 16th is only from itemized contributions, though. There could have been more from small donations (under $200) that aren't itemized. Definitely less so with Romney than with Ron Paul, but our money bomb days are listed as quite a bit below what we actually raised on those days.

Edit: as an earlier post pointed out, Romney's unitemized donations were only about $1 million though, so his total was well under $3.5M on that day, not the $10M advertised.

We will blow that away on 7/19!
