Is this Harry Potter movie called Deadly Hallows parts 2 correlate with book 7?

I assume there was a movie in the paste, which I obviously didn't see, that was called Deadly Hallows parts 1 so did that one correlate to the book 6?

They broke the last book up into two movies, or so my wife tells me. I think the first part came out a year ago or so.

Correct. There are now eight movies total. The first was chapters 1-23.

Yup, but 7 part 1 won't make much sense if you haven't seen 1-6.

For everybody else - even if you saw #7, you should watch the DVD before going to see 8, just to refresh your memory. #8 jumps right into the plot.
