Attend Tea Party & Republican Meetings And Show Your Polite Entheusiasm For Ron Paul

As one of the few Ron Paul supporters who got involved with my local tea party and stayed involved, I know first hand that they desperately want to see younger people at their meetings. The question comes up time and time again, "where are the young people?" I have my answers but that's not the point of this post. My point is that we need tea party and Republican votes in order to win and we should be taking Ron Paul to them.

My local group knows that I support Ron Paul (I've been very vocal about it over the past 2 years) so to get their attention they need to hear it from others. At next week's meeting we're bringing a handful of young Ron Paul supporters to reach out to the group. I think they will get a good response.

Yesterday, someone from our local Republican Women group asked if my wife or I would be interested in speaking about Ron Paul at one of their upcoming meetings. I thought that was pretty cool. We need to take advantage of these opportunities. These are the people who are pretty much guaranteed to vote in the primaries and we need their votes.
    End The Nanny State!

I applaud your initiative. I've tried to make inroads with local Tea Party groups but it has been tough. There are just so many issues where we have major disagreements; from foreign policy, to civil liberties, to the role the government should play in enforcing social moors. Personally I plan on focusing more on discontented independent/unaffiliated voters.

If you want to, you can download that power point presentation that was given to such good effect in Ohio to see if it has points you want to add (or could use it as is if you are pressed for time.)

"Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesn't want to hear. -Ron Paul

If you are speaking to a very socially conservative group you might want to add under "Staunchly Pro-Life" He has never preformed an abortion and tell about his Sanctity of Life Act he introduces each year.

In that case remind them that the Tea Party Movement was born out of Ron Paul's campaign and that the core issues are restoration of our Constitution, return to sound money and make it clear that there is no such thing so long as the Federal Reserve exists and the same goes for free market capitalism and last but not least is q foreign policy based in armed neutrality and non interventionism. The truth be told, our meddling policies were the inventions of liberal progressive Democrats and it has failed us miserably and cost us untold $TRILLIONS and millions of lost lives. We need to take this issue back by reminding people that Democrats were the party in power during the start of just about every major war in our recent history and that they are the party who originally wanted a one world government hence League of Nations under Wilson and the United Nations under FDR. Many of the Tea Partiers are Christians and you could also remind them that our original foreign policy that was abandoned by Democrats was based in the Christian Just War Principles meaning that the only just war is a war of self defense. If you don't know about the Christian Just War Principles then learn them well because it's VERY important in convincing Christians and other's who believe in Constitutional principles and want to adhere to the advice of our founding fathers. It also makes Ron Paul look like a real conservative and ALL other Republicans who want to continue in the Democrat foreign policy of policing the world look like the progressives that they are. It exposes them like nothing else does.

FYI - We are doing this very effectively up here in NYC. We just attended a social event last night and had the chair of the county (Manhattan) GOP join us afterwards to hand out fliers on Ron Paul's "Tax Free Tips Act". We also got a nice invitation to attend their Lincoln Day Dinner and we're working with them on a couple of different projects in the near future. These sorts of things pay dividends and, at the very least, open people up to Dr. Paul and his ideas, by convincing them that his supporters aren't a bunch of whackos.
