As one of the few Ron Paul supporters who got involved with my local tea party and stayed involved, I know first hand that they desperately want to see younger people at their meetings. The question comes up time and time again, "where are the young people?" I have my answers but that's not the point of this post. My point is that we need tea party and Republican votes in order to win and we should be taking Ron Paul to them.
My local group knows that I support Ron Paul (I've been very vocal about it over the past 2 years) so to get their attention they need to hear it from others. At next week's meeting we're bringing a handful of young Ron Paul supporters to reach out to the group. I think they will get a good response.
Yesterday, someone from our local Republican Women group asked if my wife or I would be interested in speaking about Ron Paul at one of their upcoming meetings. I thought that was pretty cool. We need to take advantage of these opportunities. These are the people who are pretty much guaranteed to vote in the primaries and we need their votes.
