*Yawn* Go away Newt. We wouldn't want you to be so focused on "saving America" that it causes another marital indiscretion.
“When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out, and by the Eternal, I will rout you out!”

I like it, this splits the neocon field. The more neocons the better in my opinion, they're all the same.

Hannity just creamed his pants hearing the news I bet.

Believe me, things are better up here, but not by that much. Somehow one of the most openly corrupt political parties just got elected to a majority last week. It's like Bush Light.

unfortunately some see him as fiscally conservative, and he does take from Ron's numbers.

    Hopefully he will fade fast.

Now if we can just keep our noses out of his personal life (he didn't pry into our discretions, now did he?) and look at his policies...we might have a "fallback" candidate if Ron doesn't make it.

Well, once his negatives are communicated to the conservative / Republican voting base, he won't last long. We're doing the same thing to Herman Cain right now (see my signature) and I have seen a TON of tea-o-cons reverse their opinion on him, or at least take serious pause to consider him after seeing that.

He's only at 10%. That's pretty low. I don't think there is the slightest possibility Gingrich could break out and win the nomination. The only state he probably has a legit chance of winning is Georgia, and they probably won't have much of an effect on the outcome of the primary season.

Yeah, Huckabee took GA last time around, IIRC. If Huckabee even enters, I'd still give the edge to Newt. He's loved by much of the establishment Goppers around here for sure, and his Contract w/America still carries weight.

To me, though, he just blends in with all the other Pawlenty's, Romney's, Cain's, Santorum's, & Huckabee's of the world. Slick talk, big gov't.

Newt is too liberal to make it through the primaries.

    Also...
September 25, 1996: Mere days before Congress adjourns for the year, Rep. Newt Gingrich (R-GA) introduces H.R. 4170, the "Drug Importer Death Penalty Act of 1996." Within a few days, the bill attracts a coalition of 26 Republican cosponsors. The legislation demands either a life sentence or the death penalty for anyone caught bringing more than two ounces of marijuana into the United States. The bill ultimately dies a well-deserved death.

    That bill is hilariously offputting
Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.

I just sent this out to every one i know in email

For a bit i was concerned the republican field would not have someone with the true courage and grit, the stonch attitude to sale out on every issue of importance. We don't need someone with principles or values. We need someone who can bring out the Christian right in droves, someone with good hair, someone willing to compromise everything he believes in, SOME ONE LIKE NEWT GINGRICH!

Just check out his 1st campaign add.

Ron's basically tied with him since they started including him Ron's numbers went down. We want those votes so RON will be above 10%
