Glock 20

I was wondering if anyone had difficulty with removing the Glock 20 slide using the recommending procedure?

I tried the recommended procedure, but I was not able to retract the slide using my fingers and thumb. I have to pull the slide back while applying forward pressure on the grip by pressing it against something while releasing the take down levers.

If it's brand new I think it might be a little stiff. Mine was (G30). It's not so bad though twelve or thirteen years later.
