Rand Paul Wants to Ban Abortions and End Birthright Citizenship - Newsweek

I'm so proud of Rand... Newsweek is already calling him 'quirky....'

Bad journalism as usual, says he was named after Ayn, for example, which everyone knows isn't true. (Note to Newsweek: Google is your friend....)

The author of this doesn't seem to realize that Ron is pro life and against illegal immigration as well.

I hate the word quixotic. Why is it that they always use it? Is it like a "group speak" thing?

That article is BS. Trying to make him out to be some staunch social conservative now, just because of those 2 bills. Rand's focus is on the debt now and always has been. And illegal immigration is part of our fiscal problems, so I wouldn't really call it a social issue. Just trying to manufacture a story where there is none. At least wait a little bit to judge him better.

Rand and Ron are both social conservatives. This is nothing new.

What, sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty.

I wish he would try to be less Mike Huckabee, and more Ron Paul.
