The arrest and the closure of the site - www.tv-links.co.uk - came during an operation by officers from Gloucestershire County Council trading standards in conjunction with investigators from Fact and Gloucestershire Police.

Fact claims that tv-links.co.uk was providing links to illegal film content that had been camcorder recorded from cinemas and then uploaded to the internet. The site also provided links to TV shows that were being illegally distributed.

it was a site for all of the tv shows and anime, movies and tv shows that were on the tv over the last years
and even my fav old time cartoons were there.

Now dont you agree that some copyright laws have gone a bit to far? and over the hill?

Speaking as a musician myself, I have NO IDEA what motivates these recording artists or film-makers to go after their own fans. As long as I got the credit for my work, I'd be honored that there were folks out there who liked my stuff enough to break laws for it!

This is absolutely outrageous, because as I understand it, this site did not provide any illegal content. It simply linked to content on sites such as youtube. It is truly a sad day when a simple text link can be made illegal.
