Debit System Down - How do you complete transaction?

Went to the gas station and filled up, both gas and fountain drink....

The stations debit system went down after I had gotten my products. There were no postings of the system being unavailable. I had no cash.

How do you address this in a libertarian market?

I have the available in my debit account and the business claims it to be a valid payment....


(Luckily the system came online before I had to try and reach an answer with the business)

You write down the numbers, CVV2, and the amount of purchase and do it manually like they used to with the carbon sheets.

The solution above is so good it works in an extreme libertarian or statist society.

In fact, if a business accepts a card, they have to do the above; terms of service of the card company.
