Spending is the true tax, because one way or another (either via direct taxation or via legalized counterfeiting, or by devaluing our money through inflation) the money for the spending comes from us! re: vid in post #3...where he says "legalizing the Constitution" in regards to currency competition-the Constitution doesn't allow for that (article I, section 10). He's right of course that free market money is superior, but he gives far too much credit to the CONstitution.

That which doesn't kill me has made a grave tactical error
First of all the Constitution demands that the States use NOTHING but gold and silver as money (which under today's corrupt law is illegal! i.e. The Constitution is illegal! How ludicrous and messed up is that!)
Secondly, the Constitution allows free competition in currencies among private citizens under the Tenth Amendment. Only State and Federal government's are restricted by the monetary clauses of the Constitution, NOT the people.
So Ron Paul is EXACTLY right when he calls for legalizing the Constitution.
But of course, the Constitution needs to be improved (carefully and NOT via a Con Con). I proposed 5 Amendments that could take care of some of it's biggest flaws:
