John Stossel or Peter Schiff should run for President in 2024

You don't need to be a politician to run for President and with the media not trusting polls and the media they will be given serious consideration

Stossel good choice but going to be too old. Schiff is too full of himself.

70 is now the limit. In fact there is no limit for that either. You have good ideas nothing to gain personally then go for it.

Stossel will be 70 next month.

So he breaks the record. Big deal.

I think Stossel is great! But, I don't think he would ever get elected. I think Trey Gowdy would be awesome and the real deal.

Pffft...if AmeriKunts wanted anything like this, it would have been Paul and Sanders this go around.

They want to be hoodwinked, shat upon and bamboozled by two bit authoritarians.

They wanted someone who could tell off and humiliate the Bushes and Clintons and most importantly not a career politician. No one better for this then Donald Trump. For 2024 and beyond, the sky is now the limit.

Donald Trump is like using hydrogen peroxide for a cut. It stings but it is good in the long run.

    What about Tom Woods?

Justin Amash will likely aspire to be the GOP nominee. IF he wins they will hopefully not run a candidate. IF he doesn't they should run an anarcho capitalist like Tom Woods

If Rand Paul were to win the 2016 election then career politicians after him will undo everything he did even if it is illegally overturning his pardons. I voted for him in the primaries but with Donald Trump his victory discourages career politicians and take news and this will have a far reaching and long lasting impact. Maybe Rand Paul can run in 2012 by so can Tom Woods, John Stossel, Peter Schiff, or anyone else with a freedom platform who isn't a politician. If this was Donald Trumps intention then great but if not then it is an unintended consequence. He is that hydrogen peroxide in that cut. Stings but healthy in the long run.

Absolutely not. This too makes absolutely zero sense.

A lot can happen in 8 years but it is doubtful from the current observations that there will be any liberty person capable of running the Republican nomination or becoming President. Not impossible, but Rand was the best shot we had and he completely blew it (although granted he couldn't have beaten Trump even if he had done everything right)

the candidate of 2024 will probably be the opposite of Trump

And none of it is Presidential worthy. Yeah I would vote for him, but he does not have the capacity to win the Republican nomination. He doesn't have the name recognition, the network, the fundraising contacts, or the gravity. Not to mention that Congressmen don't win Presidential elections, especially new young ones.

And he would risk losing his seat in Congress which would be bad, because he is only 1 of 2 pure liberty minded people in the House.

I've been saying it for years: we blew our wads in 2012 with Ron. And we also were able to see the battlefield and tactics ourselves.

Shooting for the presidency is not worth it. Suggest Trump as your evidence all you want, but the variables involved with that are not something that libertarians (as a whole) can follow or benefit from.

We need to be focusing on local, state, and federal house positions.

The U.S. Senate and White House are generally unreachable goals and even then, they'll be outnumbered.

2016 taught us that you don't need to be a politician to be President or at least should have if you are not short sighted.

Since most of the electorate want celebrities rather than liberty, Id suggest Vince Vaughn.

Vince would be good because he can read and actually knows what he's talking about.
