Angle: Bennett is an elitist and we need to audit the Fed

Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle took a swipe at Sen. Bob Bennett (R-Utah) Monday for being an “out of touch” elitist after he characterized the tea partiers as having no identifiable strategy.

Bennett, who lost his party’s nomination to tea party activists, made the remark during a recent interview with the Associated Press, saying he is concerned the grassroots conservative movement has “clearly no strategy.”

Of Angle's Senate run, Bennett said, “There's no way Harry Reid loses in Nevada.”

Asked about the comments Monday by Fox News’s Neil Cavuto, Angle said that Bennett “has become one of the elitists that is no longer in touch with” constituents back home.

“We're tired of being water boarded with high unemployment, high foreclosure rates and high bankruptcy rates,” she said, evoking the controversial interrogation technique.

Angle then defended tea party activists as having been very clear about the direction in which they want to take the country.

“We have been very articulate,” she said. “We understand what the solution is, which is to pay back on the deficit and the debt, cut back on the spending so we can cut back that deficit and then take back our economy by promoting some things that will really make a difference.”

Angle added that “we need a true audit of the Fed” and the government should “liquidate Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.”

Sharron Angle ought to ask why multibillionaires such as Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Bill Ford, and T Boone Pickens endorsed Harry Reid. Also she should ask why convincted felon Charles Keating endorsed Harry Reid.

I had to lol @ Neil's comment about people declining to come onto the show.

He was trying to make it seem neutral, but he knows they're scared to death to show up on TV.

EDIT: I really liked Sharron's answer to Neil's question about 'the role of a senator is to keep their state's big employers in business'. I really hope Neil doesn't actually believe that, but was just playing the devil's advocate.

Bennett is done... the POS is a sore loser and the tea party needs to ramp up the discredit campaign like the Imperial Empire pulls.

Angle is getting whacked from all sides... Establishment wants her out, like Rand Paul. They are threatening their Aristocratic Empire. Even local FOX NEWS is attacking her.

Here's a prefect example of the true colors of the false dichotomy and 2 wings of the same political bird. One thing the NBC article fails to mention... Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, who had previously supported Sue Lowden in the GOP primary -- and now says he's supporting Harry Reid. Sour Grapes Cashell?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has received the endorsements from two prominent Republicans in Nevada, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell (R) and Sparks Mayor Geno Martini (R).

Last Wednesday during an interview with the local NBC affiliate(Liberal Media) Mayor Bob Cashell said , "I think Sharron Angle is just too far to the right for me, she's an ultra-right winger. I can't support her. I don't support her."
Cashell then expanded on his remarks by saying: "Oh she's wild. She's wild. I mean, with the wild ideas she has going back to Washington, our state will suffer and we would never get anything done. And so I'm supporting Harry Reid, and I will go all the way for Harry Reid."
Sparks Mayor Geno Martini said: "It's beneficial for him to be in Washington, D.C., for Sparks, we can't rely on a new person, especially Sharron Angle, to do anything for us here in Sparks. Harry Reid's been very good for us for many, many years."
These two endorsements are part of a growing number of Nevada Republicans who know that Sharron Angle would be a disaster for our State.
There are currently more than 150 well known Nevada Republicans who have come out in support of Senator Harry Reid, you can read more names here.
When Nevadans stop putting their Party and ideologies first, and begin putting their State and citizens first, it becomes clear that Reid has delivered and will continue to deliver the best opportunity to turn Nevada’s economy around.
Senator Reid has brought new jobs to Nevada such as the 22,000 jobs at CityCenter which would not have been completed without his help, new industries for clean energy in solar, wind and geothermal, health care for Senior citizens along with a new hospital for our Veterans.
Sharron Angle would have done none of the above, in fact she has come out against the 22,000 jobs that were created at CityCenter (how on earth could a sane person be against those 22,000 jobs that Nevada citizens filled), she has come out against Medicare for Senior citizens and yes, she has even come out against the Veterans Administration and has suggested that it too, be privatized.

The list continues to grow for Sharron Angle and what she does not, and will not support, just as the list of Republicans who do not, and will not support Sharron Angle, continues to grow.

Promoting how? With taxpayer subsidies? I'm wary of anyone who thinks the government needs to be in the business of business.
