Thumbs up WASH-POST article on NOVEMBER SENATE SPECIAL ELECTION for SEn. BYRDs SEAT!

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the...-moved-to.html

the local G.O.P people like the idea! ...so far there has not been any interum
replacement. the governor could ask the legislature to pass a bill for the special
election. admittedly the DEMOCRATIC PARTY is debating how 2010 or 2012 will go!
the REPUBLICANs are open to having the last two years of SENATOR BYRD's term
decided on by the voters! If the governor limits the voting timeframe of any interum
appointment as he asks for a speedy vote on the bill that could set up the special
election, perhaps there could be someone who serves until january as the special
election then decides who will then serve from january of 2011 to january 2013!!!

last fall we had our legislature up here pass a bill so that 70something paul kirk
could be a voting interum senator. right now 36 year old carte goodwin in his vote
helped barack obama break mitch mcconnell's half-hearted well timed filibuster.
this is after jim bunning got flac for a senate stance. there was a press conference
friday where senior senator rockefeller helped the transition be seamless as by
the late senator's wishes. was W.Va's bill an agreement for a voting interum senator
and a fast 2010 november special election? carte goodwin may see byrd's seat
remain Democrat (unlike teddy kennedy's!) which has gone half Republican via the way
scott brown has had his TEA PARTY EXPRESS ideals meet up with waking reality.
