Default Tensions Rise Between North and South Korea

As tensions increase as a result of the March 26. sinking of the South Korean warship Cheonan, presumably by a North Korean submarine, a White House press statement issued on May 24 said: “President Obama fully supports [South Korean] President Lee in his handling of the ROKS Cheonan incident and the objective investigation that followed.” by Warren Mass

With American servicemen and women stuck right in the middle.

Thank you, Presidents Eisenhower through Obama.

    Quote from above article,

"In Washington, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said it was "odd" that North Korea would sever ties to the South, given the precarious state of the North Korean economy.

"I can't imagine a step that is less in the long-term interest of the North Korean people than cutting off further ties with South Korea," he said."

It doesn't seem so "odd" that North Korea would sever ties with South Korea if North Korea really didn't do it. I wouldn't want to do business with someone who accused me of a horrible crime that I didn't do.

Tensions is one thing. It is always tense between North and Korea and 99.9% nothing happens. If they do actually go to all out war it is a catastrophe for them as well as for us. But more than likely this is going to be as bad as swine flu or Y2K
