Important Bank Regulation senate legislation on CSPAN-2 ATM

Going over lots of financial legislation the past couple days. Sen. Dorgan's kicking ass, ATM, going on about effectively reinstating portions of Glass-Steagal, among other things. Should be interesting for anyone interested in banking in the US -- or the economy in general.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual. - Thomas Jefferson
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Dorgan's amendment to ban naked credit default swaps (which account for ~$20b of the CDS derivitaves market) seems as though it will be tabled, an effort led by Dodd. :/
