I hope Conway wins, because I don't exactly think a state like Kentucky would want an Obama Democrat in the Senate this year.

Conway polls better against Rand Paul than Mongiardo? thats bizarre. I don't believe it. Paul can beat either, but he can destroy Conway.
Progressives might actually come out for Conway. On the other hand, Mongiardo said he'd oppose the unpopular health bill. Rand would just run against them differently. He is actually much more of a reformer than Conway, and progressives would have to decide if they want another blue dog who will sell out to the corporate white house, or someone who, at least part of the time, won't even have to be convinced to champion their pet reform ideas.Originally Posted by amisspelledword

i havent been following closely at all but i feel like mongiardo is the more conservative candidate, though it wouldn't be appropriate to call him a conservative
One article put it aptly I thought, that Mongiardo and Trey Grayson are practically the same person.
