Oil commodity question...

In lieu of buying a barrell of oil from an oil company and getting it shipped to my front door what is the best way to invest in oil?

And if someone doesn't mind can they either simplify the options/futures play or point me to a link that explains it well, I'd appreciate it.

I may want to invest a little of mine and my kids money in commodities, but at this point just don't know enough.

you can invest in certain ETFs that is linked to the price of oil(USO).
