Thread: Entrepreneurs can change the World! Are you an Entrepreneur? Tell us your plan...

Default Entrepreneurs can change the World! Are you an Entrepreneur? Tell us your plan...

I got inspired to start working more on my business by this video. It really helps show the power of market solutions to help society. I have been passing this around and think it's pretty relevant in a world where everyone is so focused on trying to use the state to help society.

YouTube - Entrepreneurs can change the world

Are you an entrepreneur? If so, how do you plan on helping individuals in society in the future?

My current ventures: I have developed and am developing several marketing plans for small businesses in order to help them tap into the internet more effectively. The main market that I have been involved in lately is generating leads for affordable private education companies like ITT tech and Everest education. I am in effect helping people find affordable education, helping businesses grow, and making a personal profit all at the same time. Markets are awesome. Win, Win, Win!

A new project I'm going to be working on soon will be an effort to help free-market advocates generate revenues on the internet, by leading others in the right direction to get what they want. I'll keep this forum posted on that project, when it is closer to being ready.

So please, if you have a plan to help others in the marketplace, please share it here. After-all markets and entrepreneurs are the real solution to society's problems.

But why would I want to be an employer in this business environment?

Who says you need to employ people to be an entrepreneur? It's all about understanding the value of your skills as an individual, and applying them to help others. You will be rewarded in return, if you put your effort into helping others and creating solutions to their problems.

You can employ people if you want, as working with others is key, but I would suggest that you engage in voluntary work contracts with them instead. Pay individuals to do jobs for you, not to work for you as an employee .

    my 2 cents.

There's still a market out there, though it hangs by a thread. It's becoming less attractive to employ, with regulation and taxation, particularly for small businesses. But there are still attractive small transaction enterprises. Individuals can reach a much broader audience than ever before with craigslist, facebook, ebay, and there are many more opportunities to find a niche. part of freedom is financial, but somehow the deep entrepreneurial spirit of this country got muddled with the idea of working up the corporate ladder. I see a rennaissance of local entrepreneurship to achieve subsistence in the future.

Government does not make the world better because government prevents people from acting in their self interests.

Entrepreneurs make the world better because an entrepreneurs success comes from everyone benefiting in the interaction.

If you want to change the world, you could spend your whole life an activist only to gain small amounts of freedom.

Or you could become an entrepreneur, develop a flying car that gives people greater freedom in terms of transportation.

Yeah... plenty of opportunities for the entrepreneur, but employees generally believe that the employer is responsible for them... and unfortunately the courts agree with them.

    Now this does make "cents."

    Exactly right.

It's depressing to pay attention to politics and watch the government rape the marketplace. However, there is still plenty of room for individual innovation and creativity. The internet is the closest representation of free-market we've had in a long time, and it's a true free-market of ideas. It's enabling the individual to access the accumulated knowledge of every man who ever lived. We can all use this information to solve many problems, which will expand our freedoms.

I'm going to school for Business next year and want to start a business when I get out. I could never stand to have anyone be my boss.

Awesome man. My only advice to you would be don't let school get in the way of your education. I'm not saying you shouldn't go to school, what I'm saying is there is a ton of good information to learn outside of the school as well. The internet is evolving the way we do business quite rapidly and it's very hard for schools to develop courses fast enough to meet new demands. New standards are being set on a daily basis by individual entrepreneurs.

The internet is the most valuable tool to any modern business man, in terms of both educating yourself and doing business with others. Best of luck, man!

Adobe After Effects can do it. Look up a method called "Kinetic Typography". Here's a tutorial.

Clay, maybe you can help here.
We are installing a prototype high-efficiency/off-grid model dairy facility on the farm here to be duplicated and marketed. We installed "The Energy Detective" home energy monitor to get all of the information online. We are having a bit of a problem getting "TED 5000" to talk with the router. If this is a problem you would like to help us through, PM me.

No problem man. If you're going to start using After Effects, I highly recommend www.videocopilot.net as a learning resource. They have a great basic training section for all the basic skills, as well as some great step by step video tutorials on how to create very professional scenes and effects. They also have great products, that can pretty much help you start your own media production company, and make professional ads. I have plans to try and do this in the future.

To give you an idea of the quality of their products, check this video.

YouTube - Video Copilot: Action Essentials 2 (HD)

I made this money bomb promotion for Kokesh, off of skills and tools almost entirely from tutorials on that site. It took about 40 hours of work, i would say, and this is the first time I ever used After Effects.

Just throwing this out there, in case you are interested. Cheers, and good luck!
