Rand Paul Raises $100,000 in Less Than 12 Hours

    By John McArdle | March 23, 2010 11:30 AM | Permalink | Comments (0)

Kentucky GOP Senate candidate Rand Paul is holding another online "money bomb" fundraiser today and he'd already raised $100,000 in donations as of 11 a.m.

That total puts Paul, the son of libertarian champion Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), at nearly $400,000 raised during the 1st quarter with one week to go before the fundraising deadline.

Tuesday's "Give Me Liberty" money bomb event was scheduled on the 235th anniversary of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death" speech

Paul's Internet-based money bomb events have become the fundraising bedrock of his primary campaign against Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson (R).

Paul netted about $170,000 from a money bomb event in December, $190,000 from another in September and more than $430,000 from a money bomb in August.

Rand Paul is catching on, I'm telling ya!

Each dollar Rand gets will go ten times farther than Trey's dirty AIPAC (*cough Madoff cough*) money.

Rand has a priceless coalition of Tea Party, GOA, Pro-Life, libertarian, and Palinite shock troops.

All of them are highly motivated to get out and vote.

Trey is stuck with the Neocons and Prohibitionists. They sure are pissed about ObamaCare, though.

Edit: I just realized that guy must be related to Happy Cat. Small world.

How much did Rand raise in his December money-bomb? We beating that yet?
The evils of the protecting-duty, may undoubtedly be graduated by compromises, like those of every other species of tyranny, but the folly of letting in some tyranny has in all ages been fatal to liberty. A succession of wedges, though apparently small, finally splits the strongest timber. ~John Taylor of Caroline, Tyranny Unmasked

$245k if I remember... we're not beating it yet.

But we've already beaten the KentuckyFight moneybomb which raised... $165K?

Still haven't come close to the August 20 moneybomb of $450K, but we had cool videos back then, in my biased opinion.

Edit: It's a wonder that the liberty movement didn't abandon Ron Paul claiming he was a neocon after hearing Steve Robertson say he was principled... haha...

The uproar created by that commercial within this forum was astounding. Such a terrible commercial. So bad, in fact, that it actually became good (in a sick way).
.... in his heart, and in his head, in his character, and in his intellect, in what he has done, and in what he will become, the Thomas Jefferson of our day, Ron Paul is one of us.

    Hoo yeah, I recall that.

I thought it stunk and still do, although it has, as you mentioned, achieved "meme" status, like a RickRoll or Trololololo Guy.
