Young Turks with their Psych-Ops BS about Tea Party Incident

F them. The IRS terrorizes millions of Americans each year with the threat of violence, yet no one says a word because its the enforcement wing of their redistribution racket. Sorry, but we understand how the 'game' is arranged, and the staged presence of all the terminally ill people in the world aren't going to alter that reality.

It made Chris Matthews show as well:

A guy goes to a Tea Party to protest...the Tea Party.

What do you expect as a response?

The Tea Partiers mock his position, not his condition. They didn't go to his house to yell at him. They didn't even mock him for having Parkinson's. He showed up to their rally, to protest them he's an $#@!. The media is lying.

I would immediately denounce them if they were making personal attacks on his condition. And I already disagree with their overt insults (shouldn't the downtrodden Tea Partier accept that protestors don't like being mocked?) but seriously the media can go to hell on this one. This whole sympathy card bull is what I hate most about "liberalism". It's not about actually caring, it's about bitching that others don't care.

Great idea...someone hire a bunch of handicapped folks to march on Washington against Obama and the health care bill, then nobody will be able to attack or question them.

I used to watch TYT all the time because I found them to be funny and somewhat intelligent. But lately their videos suck. They must be trying to get more viewers because all they've been showing is soft porn like Fox News does-- stories and pictures on Tiger's mistresses, stories and pictures about the hot teacher who had sex with kids, etc.

Or interview or parade them on the talk shows. Next.

How the hell were they mocking him? They were calling him out for demanding a handout from them. One man gave him some money.

Pity doesn't entitle you to $#@!. Some people think that being weak, stupid, or otherwise handicapped means that they deserve something for free, and they'll use government guns to get it.

If I had been there, I would have given the guy my gun and told him to rob me to pay for his treatment. At least then it would have only been a crime against a single person, rather than a crime against the entire population.

The most disturbing aspect is the Republican politicians who give them the moral high ground by not striking down these ridiculous, emotionally based assertions. Notice how Ron Paul has no problems about voicing his opinion that health care is not a right and explains accordingly in no uncertain terms.

To be honest, what these people did was despicable. Yes, we oppose handouts and entitlements, but treating a paralyzed man like this is an act of cruelty.

I don't think he's paralyzed. I'm pretty sure that the gentleman is afflicted with Parkinson's and I can only assume he's somewhat mobile. What I want to know is how he got all the way over to the anti-health care side of the rally and expected not to provoke an un-PC response.

Just because the guy has Parkinson's disease doesn't mean he is immune to criticism. Like any other person, he has to be willing to be criticized for his views and defend him. People mocked him because he is asking for a handout, not because he is a cripple. Just because someone has Parkinson's doesn't mean they can't be a jerk, he was a jerk.

People should remember though - health care is a disaster.

The guy simply doesn't understand the cause of the problem. I imagine he worked a productive life and is now in his twilight years with little money and rising health care costs and is angry with the predicament he is in.

It's too bad nobody calm and cool could of given him an alternative view that would actually address his situation and why he got in it in the first place.

Say what you want about the "young turks" coverage. (It was stupid. The protesters didn't say the man was communist because he had Parkinson's. But you can have Parkinson's and not support government run healthcare.) But the tactics of the protesters were not the best. There were some pro healthcare folks that showed up to a tea party rally in Nashville. Some were some young people carrying a sign. Most people ignored them. I went up to them and asked them questions about the bill they supported. They didn't even know what was in the bill. I didn't berate them for that. I told them about alternatives that Ron Paul and John Mackey had put forward to improve healthcare and where to look this up on the Internet.

There was also an indigent man there who was having a heated discussion with one of my friends about healthcare. I took the time to find out where he was coming from. He claimed he couldn't get his condition treated. I asked him if he had gone to the local hospital that takes indigent patients. He said he had and they checked him out but all they did was give him an aspirin. I asked him why did he think he would have gotten any different treatment had he had federal insurance. Maybe the doctor didn't think he needed more than an aspirin. I'm not sure if it ever sunk in to him what I was saying, but I said it without anger or condescension. There was no media covering the exchange, but if they did there's no way they could have spun it to hurt our cause like this clip was spun.

Had I been at that rally I would have sat down and talked to the man with Parkinson's. I would have asked him why he supported the bill and if he understood why others didn't. I would have asked him if he knew about how long everyone had to wait for care in Canada and if he knew that people were pulling their own teeth in England due to a lack fo dentists willing to take the public insurance. You never win by being ugly to a sympathetic figure. But you can make their argument look bad by calmly going through the facts.

Seriously guys, don't condone such behavior. I know it arouses passion because it's just so freaking wrong--but what next? Yelling at a poverty-stricken mother and her baby in public because they're on WIC?

That sort of behavior just closes people's minds and cements their opinion that we're a bunch of heartless bastards who would let people die in the street.

The media always takes things out of context, and attempts to create the news. The Young Turds took it even further with their exaggerated, emotional, false "outrage". Their use of collectivism was disgraceful. "This just goes to show the true nature of Tea-partiers"? So everyone that is against government-paid health-insurance is exactly like the one guy arguing there?

And look at the basis for their mock "outrage". A guy with a terminal disease. Sorry, no amount of medical care (or government money) is going to save a person with a terminal disease.

Of course. But the majority of the public do not appreciate the extent to which the media creates reality. You really have to be at an event and then see how it gets reported to fully grasp what the media does. They take a quick isolated incident between a couple of people, and then apply that to everyone who opposes government paid health insurance. The vast majority of the people in attendance probably had no idea that small incident occurred, but they are all painted with it. They could have filmed two opposing protesters having a very genial and intelligent conversation, and portrayed everyone that way. They create whatever they want to create.

Did you actually watch the video?

No-one here is mad at this guy for collecting benefits, they are mad at him because he came to their protest to demand their money.

This guy is nothing but a thug. A thug in a wheelchair, but a thug none-the-less.

Yes I watched the video. Did you even read my response about how I handled pro government healthcare types who showed up at a local tea party? It's possible to deal with these people without giving the media ammo to use against you.

I watched the video. You are probably an evil, cold-hearted bastard who attacks people with terminal diseases (and eats cuddly kittens for breakfast) because you have attended a Tea Party. So say The Young Turds.

I've been fighting this mentality for almost 30 years.

The "need" is everpresent and ever visible. What is unseen is the car you couldn't buy for your kid on his/her 16th birthday or the college a few years later...the business you couldn't afford to start...the main street bristling with community and quality goods (and quality locally produced foods) that was put out of business years ago by the global corporations...and a million other things because half (or more) of your lifetime's accumulation of wealth was looted to accumulate great power and wealth for a coterie of global corporations. Looted wealth for the central bankers. Looted wealth to fund murderous foreign crusades. Looted freedom to keep it all in place. Then justify it all by tossing a few crumbs at the victims of life, which are compounded by the system that results from the belief that one man's need equals a moral sanction that it be provided by others through whever means are deemed necessary.

When I looked at that calm person kneeling peacefully at the mob I saw the face of pure evil. Not in the man, actually he was fairly courageous, but in everything he represents.

Yeah, I've seen it several times now. I understand their anger, and I realize how effing pathetic it is that they'd trot out a disabled man, but I do believe in taking the high road when at all possible.

I still don't understand how someone can name themselves after a group of people that committed genocide, much less get so much praise from the press after they do.

Maybe the Young Turks should join the Coffee Party.

Maybe they figured out that if they could get away with the name, they could get away with a lot of stupid propaganda.......... and it's working on both levels.
