Talking Ventura, Huckabee, Blago on Geraldo!

    Talk about a Motley Crew!

Jessee Ventura, Mike Huckabee, and Rod Blagojevich all being interviewed at the same time by Geraldo. Ventura mentioned the Constitution and Bush throwing away habeaus corpus after Huck tried saying how bad the Dems were. I could tell Ventura being there made Huck uncomfortable.

Blago actually sympathized with Ventura about the government spying on people.

Ventura tried to explain that Iraq had nothing to do with the war and Huck got all torqued.

    This is fun!

I want to see his own words, before I make a judgment.

Really? This is coming from a guy who seems to be absolutely convinced that the government murders it's own citizens and starts needless wars on a regular basis.... how can he possibly want the same organization to monopolize health care markets?

I didn't see it, yet, just going on Matt's word. I'm just speculating on the the reasoning for him advocating such a thing, if he did.

I'm sure he did. He was defending state-run healthcare on Larry King the other night. He said "pure capitalism doesn't work, so we need some socialism."

He basically said that we've had government run healthcare in Hawaii for 40 years, and Congress gets it, so why shouldn't we give it to everyone else?

It was sickening. This guy is truly an idiot.

Ventura did just say he doesn't think Obama was born in Kenya.

It is possible that some form of socialist healthcare might work better than the corporatist system we have now that is run by the drug companies and insurance companies....but certainly the free market solution is best... but a lot of people have bought the propaganda that we have a free market health insurance system.

He indeed seems to support Government Run Healthcare.

Yeah, statewide single-payer wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. All the hospitals and GP's are private, so I wouldn't be afraid to seek care or anything. Of course, it would be a grossly wasteful system.

I'm not surprised Jesse advocates government operated health-care, though.
if modern agriculture continues to follow the path it's on now, it's finished. The food-growing situation may seem to be in good shape today, but that's just an illusion based on the current availability of petroleum fuels. All the wheat, corn, and other crops that are produced on big American farms may be alive and growing, but they're not products of real nature or real agriculture. They're manufactured rather than grown. The earth isn't producing those things.. petroleum is! -Masanobu Fukuoka

He's philosophically inconsistent to the point of looking like a moron.

Ventura confuses the word libertine with libertarian.

Ventura is an idiot. We were rising up at that point in time, and supporting Ron Paul.

Bottom line: he's too pragmatic. That and he doesn't have a very good grasp on economics or the Constitution for that matter (I heard him criticize the Electoral College too).
