    That's impossible.

That's impossible. According to Limbaugh, Hannity, et al., the liberal media is a bunch of anti-war ,granola-eating, draft-dodging ,America-hating ,hippie socialist McGovernicks. Why would such people ,who are committed to socialism, support a war? We all know that during war, the economy is freed up, private property is respected, government spending is slashed and the Constitution is sacrosanct. I can't figure it out.
"Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear. "

"It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself. "

Don't forget the "lib" nyt radical support for the war. Actually it was more of a radical enabler of the war.

I was just reading American Conservative magazine last night, and they pointed out that the media was largely responsible for supporting whatever pro-Iraq invasion propoganda came out of the White House when Bush was making the case for war.

Scott Ritter was marginalized, but Jonah Goldberg and Peter Bienhart were both rewarded with columns in large newspapers.

The media is certainly controlled, but not in a conspiratorial way.
They think of it as editorial discretion, newsroom consensus, and the like.
They are sincerely self-deceiving about it.
