1. ## USA vs Greece

Simple math

Greece

300 000 000 000 public debt/ 11 000 000 citizens = 27 272,7273 debt per capita

USA

12 500 000 000 000 public debt / 300 000 000 citizens = 41 666,6667 debt per capita

Am I right or wrong?

3. As I said before, the difference is that the greek debt is mainly denominated in euros, while the USA debt is denominated in dollars. The USA goverment controls the Fed and can monetize the debt. Grecee does not control the ECB (is controlled by the germans) and can not monetize the debt.

That is why Greece has to obey what the germans say. The USA goverment only has to trick its citizens on believing that the future price increases are because of the evil arabs that "hoard" the petrol. It worked in the 70's.

Excellent post.

5. Greece's problem with the EU is exactly why we do not want the IMF to become the central bank of the world.

7. Look at this

It seems that Americans acquired madness to enjoy life like Greeks

Not happening this time around. That is the big difference. So many understand economics and the nature of inflation....it's not going to fly this next time. Almost all Republicans understand that the FED is a problem and a root cause of our ills. They also understand the danger of hyperinflation and that the FED and government spending can cause this.

I think some Dems understand it too. This time around people are going to know better. What they will do I don't know, but they will know why things are happening.
