Senate Democrats to ram through healthcare bill

Sen. Tom Harkin tells POLITICO that Senate Democratic leaders have decided to go the reconciliation route for health care reform. The House, he said, will first pass the Senate bill after Senate leaders demonstrate that they have the votes to pass reconciliation in the Senate.

This is quite disgusting. I don't think it can get through though. But still the attempt is sickening with as many Americans opposed to this monstorsity as there are. There is no constituional or even moral basis for this. This outright Tyranny.

Just like FDR, but remember that in the 30s, the resistance was much more widespread. This is a relatively placid environment compared to the hostile backlash that FDR encountered, yet he still bulldozed the Supreme Court and set forth the blueprint for the government we currently own.

This is not the 1930's and Obama is not FDR. He will lucky to get another term, I think he will serve only one term. Moreover the house and senate are going to, very soon, become oppositional forces. It's not the same situation, and the masses are informed, unlike the 1930s they can see the results of this type of legislation in SS and Medicare.
