Wink Top 10 States for STDs!

    http://nashvillecitypaper.com/conten...rted-std-cases

When compared to other states in the Southeast — the site uses a map colored with four shades of red to denote concentration of reported STD cases by state — Tennessee fares relatively well. States with rates besting Tennessee’s 60 include: Arkansas (50), Florida (43), Kentucky (35), North Carolina (58), Virginia (46) and West Virginia (25).

The only states in the nation with higher rates: Alabama (72), Alaska (69), Delaware (63), Georgia (66), Illinois (65), Louisiana (82), Michigan (61), Mississippi (97), Ohio (61), South Carolina (78).

The lowest reported rate of sexually transmitted diseases in the nation is in The Granite State — New Hampshire (16).

Wow I wonder what explains the high rates in some of those states.

If that were true you would think FL, NY and CA would have elevated rates too

Hey, I have a novel idea.

Why don't all the guys on this board take a road trip to New Hampshire to get some clean, non-STD-infested poon?

    Ehhh? Ehhh?

The FSP needs to capitalize on this new data with a catchy slogan.

"New Hampshire - Good for Liberty, Good for Prosperity, and Way Less Harmful to Your Junk!"

Maybe I'm just dumb, but that chart/picture says that 1 in 5 Americans has an STD. That means that most states should have 250(+/- few) people with STDs per 1,000, not 16-70 people per 1,000.

    What am I missing?

The numbers on the map are number of new cases reported per thousand per year.

In other words, it is not saying that is the TOTAL, it is just the new cases per year (rate).
