    is Sarah now anti-war?

or has Rand joined the neo-cons?

This is an intresting political marriage. Palin also gains from this, this will help rehabilitate her "conservative" credential for a portion of people after her having supported McCain. She is the endorser.

She endorsed him, not the other way around.

Maybe Palin does have something between her two ears and flipped. Women can be nasty, claws out.

Ummm... No where on the Huffo link page does it ask "who flipped"?

And you can refer to Sarah's press release where she says "while we disagree on some things..,"

  8. #7
    Neither.

Endorsing someone doesn't mean you agree with them on every issue - it means you like them more than the other guy (similar to how many people vote).

    Rand called her a giant.

is she just endorsing the winner? and could she really be changing? she has no love for the NYC banks, which must cause concern in Tel Aviv.

For those not here during the RP08 Campaign it should be mentioned that Palin come up on this forum long before McCain tapped her shoulder. There was talk at the time of it being a Paul/Palin ticket. Palin actually had to chang away from her leanings to conform to the McCain ticket.

What do you want him to call her? She just endorsed him. Regardless of what any of us think of her, she is held in high esteem by a lot of disgruntled Republicans. You know, the kind who would like Rand Paul.

    Doesn't matter at this point.

This is about Rand and his campaign.

I don't mind him calling her a giant, and the endorsement is a positive. But is it strange bedfellows, or is there a chance Palin (and/or Steve Forbes) could become real (Taft/Goldwater) Republicans?

I have mixed feelings about Palin. I can't decide who is the real Palin.

I wouldn't hold my breath, if I were you.

An endorsement like this tells people who support Palin and agree with Rand on on 80-90% of issues that it is okay to vote for Rand. It's a good thing, and gets Rand their support without having to compromise on the 10-20% of issues they don't fully agree on.

but that 10-20% is what separates Rand from the establishment candidate. most Republicans want lower taxes, are against Obamacare etc.

but finding the antiwar , anti-patriot act Republican is the challenge.

is the Tea party movement libertarian or neo-con?

Who cares, so long as they vote for the libertarian? Which this endorsement encourages them to do. This isn't about finding purely libertarian candidates, it's about wooing not purely libertarian voters to the candidate we already have.

Case in point, Ron's recent endorsements. I always take Ron's endorsement's with a grain of salt.

I think that's a pretty common problem with Palin. I'm not even sure she has the mental capacity to decide who she is.

Very few people agree with their candidate 100%. It's not uncommon for people to say "I'm not Republican or Democrat. I'm pro-choice but I'm against gay marriage, and for gun rights, but also support open borders" and a million other variations of that.

And then they vote for the person who most closely resembles their views or who they like the most.

That's what is going on here. Palin says "look I don't support Rand on everything, but I like him more than the other guy and he has my support in this campaign". "And Rand says, I appreciate Palin's support, she's a good person and I thank her. Ok - now back to work".

They may not say it but that is the gist of it. And for Rand that is good because there are a number of people in Kentucky who support Palin and will vote for who she tells them to.

I don't really see the issue here. Rand would have to be a complete idiot to do anything else. Unless it's the leader of the KKK or NAMBLA or something when someone supports you, you thank them and say something nice about them. That's it.

Sarah Palin endorses your candidate and this is the way you thank someone for the support? In order to end this owebama socialism we all are going to have to work together. We're not going to agree on 100% of everything but should concentrate on the 80% we do agree on.

Sarah Palin has a following, one that you could make great use of. But to read the 3 pages of this Palin bashing that is going on one has to wonder if any help is really appreciated. This is just the kind of thing the liberals are counting on. We have a golden opportunity to turn this country around, lets not blow it.

    Neither of them flipped.

It's just an endorsement. I seriously doubt Rand is going to go about things any differently because of this.

He's going to treat Sarah Palin like you would treat any dumb ho. He's going to hit it and quit it. Ya feel me?

That is just the kind of remark from a young "newby" to politics that will accomplish nothing but lose support for your candidate.

Palin is a phony bitch who only endorsed Rand cuz he's already won.

She is owned by Bill Kristol. Nothing more than an Israeli worshipping neo-con clone of George Bush.

if modern agriculture continues to follow the path it's on now, it's finished. The food-growing situation may seem to be in good shape today, but that's just an illusion based on the current availability of petroleum fuels. All the wheat, corn, and other crops that are produced on big American farms may be alive and growing, but they're not products of real nature or real agriculture. They're manufactured rather than grown. The earth isn't producing those things.. petroleum is! -Masanobu Fukuoka

As long as Rand doesn't have to repay with a Presidential endorsement...
