What are the chances of it passing in the Senate?
Lieberman has said he won't vote for a Public Option. Roland Burris (D-IL) has said he won't vote for a bill unless it has a public option. Automatically, that brings it down to only 59 votes. Olympia Snowe is on the fence. Bill Nelson and Ben Nelson are on the fence along with Blanche Lincoln. As of right now, they don't have the votes. They will pull every scam and dirty trick to get this through the Senate. Only thing that will stop it is a massive outcry from the population....and even then who knows. These people are all millionaire lawyers, bought and sold sellouts with higher allegiances than us peasants. They have zero (0) respect for the Constitution or the Republic. Zero. Will welcome the utter destruction of the dollar and will worship the NWO when it comes. As long as they remain part of the elite they could give two $#@!s about the rest of us. Yep --- this is what Congress is doing. Lawmakers create this massive entitlement, and then if anyone tries to have it repealed, the groups that receive the entitlement will yowl and holler about how they're being harmed. Once that outcry occurs, then any attempt to change anything is either watered down to nothing, or nothing happens period. Look at Social Security and Medicare. You do NOT TOUCH those massive entitlements, as hell hath no fury like the senior citizen voting bloc.
Once an entitlement is established, we're pretty much screwed.
