The National Republican Senatorial Committee wanted Bunning out. Apparently Trey Grayson is handpicked from the Washington insiders to be their shining star. There is a message than needs to be repeated loud.....

Senator Bunning could have sent a message direct to the NRSC by staying and
complicating the race, however i have to quietly respect him for what he did, by
quietly leveling the playing field on the Republican side. he knew that Jack Conway
rustled up a heap of greenbacks, some 1.3 million with more to follow. By saying
that he hopes that the best man will win, he has placed Mr. Johnson, Trey Grayson
and Rand Paul on an even footing... he also said he hopes a conservative will win.
Matt... obstacle one is Karl Rove. Obstacle two methinks is either most likely to be
Darlene Fitzgerald Price or Jack Conway. In old age, you will remember this all intensely...
I feel Rand Paul held back from pulling in an obscene pile of money due to his respect
for Senator Bunning. Now there are no restraints from going enthusiatically into overdrive!
