US Military: Humiliation of prisoners is against international law
This should send a clear message to Afghan insurgents about respecting Geneva Convention (that prohibits torture and calls for humane treatment of prisoners):

American soldier is simply a terrorist to them.
As far as I know USA dosn't recognize Geneva convention either and don't treat mujahedins as prisoners of war.
It would be very funny if they waterboarded him - I would want to watch it.

I hope they don't waterboard him or anything and put our "leaders" to shame by behaving in a more civilized manner...but if they do, I hope they capture it on tape and circulate it throughout the Internet and US media. That would definitely send a message to neocon-leaning Americans about where our policies have led, and seeing it done for real would probably open their eyes to what it's really like.
