The truth hurts. I think I read once, in my thick tome of Nostradamus' predictions that something like this would happen. He said something about what comes around gyrates around or something like that. My memory fails me...
Let's not be too biased, it's not like the average Iraqi enjoyed being ruled by Saddam Hussein. So this example doesn't work very well. The Americans were welcomed by the majority of Iraqis in 2003. Don't take what I say the wrong way though, lol.
changing variables often shows how silly the original idea is
We bombed their infrastructure, food factories, electrical grid, hospitals, manufacturing plants etc. Displaced millions of people and killed over a million as well. There is no order in Iraq. How is what we have done made it better?
With one million of their people killed since the US invasion, I know what regime I'd rather have.

Would you openly show hatred to an armed occupying force that just obliterated your military, or smile in the face of adversity? YOu can't honestly take those praises of American soldiers seriously when we 1st invaded them, the second we turned our backs on them I guarantee it was pure hatred being expressed.
The Palestine hotel statue thing was exposed on the very day when it happened as a PR stung orchestrated by Ahmed Chalabi`s people. Many of which were exiles flown in into the country for the occassion.
This particular statue was chosen for the stunt despite not being in any way particularly significant of Saddam`s statues because it was positioned right in front of the hotel where all of the western journalists were housed. There were no occurances of crowds gathering to jointly with the Americans pull down statues of Saddam anywhere else but here.
Rubbish. Sanctions, Desert Fox, no-fly zones, repeated aerial attacks on military installations over a decade, support for the Kurdish seperatists in the North, memories of bombing of Iraqi cities during the Desert Storm (200 massacred by bombs in Fallujah)...
The US was hated before the invasion already. That is not to say Iraqis did not welcome the downfall of Saddam Hussein, but then we too welcomed the downfall of Bush. Jet that doesn`t mean we are not anticipating the downfall of Obama from day one just the same.
Have you been living under a rock? Paulians should know better.
Those aren`t regular Iraqis. Those are Free Iraqi Forces members. The militia of Iraqi quisling crony Chalabi.
