How long before every retailer wants these in every store across the USSA?

The FAILURE of the United States Government to operate and maintain an
Honest Money System , which frees the ordinary man from the clutches of the money manipulators, is the single largest contributing factor to the World's current Economic Crisis.

A friend of mine working for IBM was working on a system very similar to this one, as a government related project, developing facial recognition software to run on the Metropolitan police CCTV surveillance systems in London.

That was in the mid to late 1990's.

Well, think of the relatively recent articles on mass surveillance where the govt of Britain has been testing omnidirectional microphones on their cameras; or software that not only recognises faces, but recognises expressions to "detect hostility".

    Case in point:

Minority Report comes to Britain: The CCTV that spots crimes BEFORE they happen
CCTV cameras which can 'predict' if a crime is about to take place are being introduced on Britain's streets.

The cameras can alert operators to suspicious behaviour, such as loitering and unusually slow walking. Anyone spotted could then have to explain their behaviour to a police officer.
That's right. "What are you doing walking down this street? Let me see those papers!"

    Britain is 'surveillance society'

Yes, they even have cameras watching cameras.

CCTV cameras to watch for speed camera vandalism. Rinse, repeat.
