Also, have you contacted your Congressional Rep and asked them co-sponsor Ron Paul's HR 1098: Free Competition in Currencies Act?

I'm down for this. Thing is tho, we needed dedicated rallies. Everyday stuff that gets reinforced over the weekends. I want to camp out in front of these offices. Literally take up residence in front of these doors.
This bill MUST go before the full congress for a measured vote. Honestly, we cannot seriously expect congress to listen to people as long as we only show up for a few hours in a park on the corner for a couple days a year.
All these unemployed people out here have plenty of time on their hands to do this, I am one of them. It won't take huge crowds of people, just 20-30 in front of every office. We commit to this camp out until there is a vote on the house and senate floors NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES!
We take video cameras and laptops and have a website set up. We communicate with each other daily so we are coordinated with our chants and media response. We document everything and take up petitions.
I'd like to see some 10th amendment protests at every State's capital to put pressure on the individual states to declare their true role as states in the Constitution.
We could have the protests begin after our state congress critters get inside the building and then totally shut the place up until action is taken by our 'representatives'.
So it seems like there are 3 or 4 major leanings...
1) Strengthening End the Fed protests.
- Possible problems: Fed offices not in every state or town.
2) "We need some HR 1207 parties staged in front of every Congressman's local office. People should show up with candles, lanterns and flashlights. Let's bring some sunshine on the Fed. Is July 12 too late?"
-This is connected to End The Fed, but would solve the problem of the scarcity of the offices. Kinda like bringing the End The Fed protests to the doors of our congressmen.
3) Fusion Center protests.
-I like this one, but we are going to have to get people that are not cowards. Blocking the doors peacefully may get some people arrested... Maybe we could combine this with the protests in front of the congressional offices for a Mega rally? We could have VFW there, ETF, Libs, Reps, everyone thats mad about being profiled...
4) 10th amendment rallys
5) 2 amendment gun owners rallys.
6) Combine all the Amendment Rallies into one large Bill of Rights Rally. (Thanks Deborah!)
Just trying to bring some organization to our ideas. Keep throwin' out more suggestions!

What about a Bill of Rights Rally?

Yes, except I don't believe that the general public will participate or have any sympathy for an End The Fed protest until they have been educated as to why it is a necessity. Thus, I believe that promoting HR 1207 - promoting transparency - is a necessary first step. A first step that the general public can rally behind and support.

Lets look at some goals.
1.) Striking while iron is hot. One thing is for sure about the rallies 4/15/09 was that people are pissed off. For sure there are a lot more people upset and the more nerve people get, the more people will start coming out of the woodwork.
2.) Control the media. The media is struggling to keep control of the information that is getting out at these rallies for the people not attending. As the media struggles, more and more people realize that the media is part of the problem. So we need to keep these protest, images and, gatherings in the news. The media will shoot themselves in the foot.
3.) Challenge unconstitutional laws and actions based on those laws. The message needs to be clear in all of the instances. The government works for the people, and the people demand the government be held accountable to their oaths to uphold the law of the land. There are specific issues at stake here, some of which are outlined above.
I feel that we can galvanize the popular support by being selective and choosing the right kinds of protests and actions. We need a 3 pronged "attack" that will channel popular outrage, regulate the media to its traditional status of reporting facts, and tackle the legal issues that are being marginalized by the two party mirage. I have responded to some of the concerns of the above styled protests above.
