    Air Your Grievances

    That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.
    Just to put them in one place, and if for no other reason than to get this off our chests and relieve a bit of the stress I know we're all feeling, let's list our grievances with government that evidence that "long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism".

    We know that they are selling out our sovereignty!

    We know that they lie, cheat and steal our money on a regular basis!

    We know that they place future generations into more and more crushing debt every single day!

    We know that LEGALLY and MORALLY, empowered by the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, the People can abolish this government and restore governance under a Constitutional Republic, showing due cause as is appropriate for anyone brought before the law of the United States.

    I'll start with two:

    The Patriot Act: violation of the Fourth Amendment.

    Executive Orders: violation of the Tenth amendment, at very least.

    Between just those, I see a clear design to place the American people under despotic rule.

    And I couldn't care less what the Supreme Court says: read the Constitution, they are there to UPHOLD it, not INTERPRET it. And in any case, the American people are empowered by the Constitution and Declaration of Independence to abolish and reform them as well, in order to give them a better form of government.

    So step up, air your grievances, and keep this thread going.

    Ok, I'll add a few more.

    The Public Education System

    The IRS

    Marriage licenses

    Gun permits: infringing on the Second Amendment. It is a RIGHT, you do not need to be permitted by the government to exercise your rights.

    Legislation blocking gay marriage: First Amendment. Government should not legislate morality.

    Selective service: this should be repealed, and a true volunteer military established.

    The bailouts: both domestic and money channeled to foreign banks

    The G20 agreement: claiming the authority to surrender sovereignty to foreign powers is treason; especially when those powers then have the privilege to manipulate currency.

    The War on Terror: not the least that this war was started without a Congressional declaration of war...long and lengthy reports via the CIA proved conclusively there were no WMD's in Iraq. Why have so many soldiers lost their lives, and so much public money been squandered on an illegal war?
