I'm a noob to the phrase even though I've heard it before. Care to explain it to me?

basically its a tax on energy. estimates are it will add 1300-3000 a year to a family's electric bill.

I think cap and trade will have a comparable effect on us as to what the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act had in the Great Depression.

So is there an HR bill we should be aware of that is going to be voted on soon or something? When and where do we get the ruckus started?

Get the ruckus started NOW. Start educating friends and neighbours to this.

At a time when American families are hurting more than nearly any other in living memory, and with rising energy prices, this is beyond criminal.

I dunno, this could pretty much destroy Obama if it passes.
    In New Zealand:
    The Coastguard is a Charity
Air Traffic Control is a private company run on user fees
The DMV is a private non-profit
Rescue helicopters and ambulances are operated by charities and are plastered with corporate logos
The agriculture industry has zero subsidies
5% of the national vote, gets you 5 seats in Parliament
A tax return has 4 fields
Business licenses aren't even a thing nor are capital gains taxes
Constitutional right to refuse any type of medical care
