Default Is the USA a Republic or a Democracy?

...and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, with Liberty and Justice for all.
I think too many people still think that we are a Democracy. We are a Rebublic. Let us not forget.

So, here is a nice short video that explains pretty well the differences...

We are supposed to be a republic, but if you notice how our government is trying to spread democracy around the world, I believe they would rather have our country be a democracy instead of a republic.

In a democracy, the government can have the people and themselves vote for bigger government and thus give the government more power over the people. When the government does this correctly, the people go for it, because they feel the government is doing something for them and they would not get those things if this were a republic.

Obviously, democracy is a shortcut to socialism.

Started as a Republic, once our elected officials started ignoring us we became a Democracy.

I think that's how it works?
But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks, and the corporations which grow up around them, will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
